Everybody seen this 1 CBR1000RR FIREBLADE 08 09 10 11 2008 2009 2010 2011 YOSHIMURA R-77 CARBON 1000RR | eBay
Not bad price especially as it's make an offer, but then you can get a brand spanker from the states for under £450 ! priced the same carbon can and carbon cone in George Whites for £685 ouch !
Gutted , Know how you feel pal I found a 91 VFR looking mint going for 1000 buy it now 10 miles up the road, offered 800 and he said no but 900 and its mine, I said yes and was waiting for a reply on what day i could collect and an hour later he emailed to say a bloke has clicked buy now and i can't have it well pissed off lol
i was only waiting to see if my carbon r-77 could be re-sleeved. Sadly it looks like i have missed out on a bit of a deal.
Really? When I bought my new bike off him around 2 months ago I asked him how much for a yoshi, I was told £800
Yep definitely £685, I was over there today and he has a selection of exhausts on display (in the main shop not the Honda bit) and there is one there in carbon for £685, unless that doesn't include the heat shield ?
Hmmm, the price he gave me was including 10% off coz I bought the bike from there, glad I bought mine from the States, even at the price he gave you I saved £250.00
I got mine from JHS Racing for £670, carbon with baffle and heat shield included, UK Supplied and warranty.
Technically the US suppliers are not allowed to do it... that's why David Silver Spares no longer sells parts for newer bikes... they were buying stuff in from far ashore places for cheap and undercutting all the other suppliers. UK Suppliers could technically force Yoshimura to take action against the US Suppliers like Honda ended up doing with DSS... Plus it devalues the product in the UK, and makes more UK suppliers have to shut down, no end of local bike shops around me have shut down in recent years. Lots of opinions on all fronts no doubt.
I'm all for suporting my local shops, I've spent quite a few Grand at Hein Gericke over recent years and will probably continue to do so, but competition is good for the market, it keeps sellers honest and lets buyers choose where they would like to spend their money
Now now, im only playing mate. I was referring to your choice of tyres on that fateful day, not that fact that you missed a good deal on a yoshi can for the sake of a few £££, lol. I guess it was £60 well spent on the rain soaked odiham airfield day eh? You on the way to getting the Blade sorted now? :finger:
HRC kit bought, mirrors bought, rearsets and exhaust still to get. May go down the road of a standard second hand exhaust to start with and standard rearsets until i can free up some more funds. When is your next trackday booked for?
Is that can completely f'ked mate? Maybe we could have a deal I would like one on mine but ifs not repairable...also I have a standard zorst mate but minus heatshield.. You could get the carbon heatshield on it so it looks better then get better money for it when you sell it
Hopefully the weather will hold out or u then, you riding the Duke up or going up with mates and trailering it up there?
