I've had this done to me But as said may not be DT fault. At least they said they had been let down and it was out of stock. I've had it where I kept getting told bare with us etc... And ages later nothing. This was not DT
I think the subject is delivery let down rather than the actual item. I will not be using DT any more due to my own experiences and it does not relate to suppliers letting them down. Although they tried to remedy the problem which I appreciated I did not need the extra effort I needed to make to sort it all out. As they supported the site I told a member of admin I would not post about it on the board, however, I felt it only fair to members to mention that suppliers letting them down is not the only issue.
DT take your money in exchange for giving you a product. They give you a delivery date and need to honour it. Dont get where your coming from mate? they are offering you a service, MAKING MONEY out of doing so but you excuse their failings due to a 3rd party supplier you have no care for? i'm sorry, but if people want to offer themselves as a sales point they need to deliver! it's their bread and butter..... similar in my industry, my client couldnt give two f*cks if my supply chain let me down, he pays us handsomely to sort it out! we make money saying we will so no excuses if we dont. I dont see why sales should be any different IMO…. this isnt a dig at DT - bought a couple of things (minor) and never had an issue, but i just cant see why you'd accept poor service because they cant control their own supply chain..... Feeble excuse if you ask me.
Morning Snowcat, I was very disappointed to read this. I offer my sincere apologies for any delay that was incurred. At the point of order I phoned the supplier to make sure that the item was in stock and I was assured that it was and that it would be sent straight out for you. I shall look in to this to find out what happened. Again, my sincerest apologies for this. Kind regards Andy
Just in case anybody's up for a bit of closure on this one. I've now spoken to everybody expecting a new printer on Monday and explained that due to circumstances beyond our control they will all now be receiving their printers on Tuesday. This is due to us cancelling the previous order and re-ordering from a source with them already on the shelf. We will now be making the grand total of £7 per printer in profit but will only be delaying delivery by 24 hours. One of them I will need to install as a sweetener for the punter, but they should all, hopefully, be back.
Two printers with a total profit of £14.00 minus admin / delivery and set up of one / and cost of phone calls = a minus of £14.00 ... Do you work for Jessops Ken?
