I know, I'm starting early. Any recommendations for European cover, Sorry I didn't transfer the links that folks kindly put on my first thread, so if anyone would like to contribute again please?
Ok, just had a look at rac, £83 not bad, it's the small print you have to watch though, isn't it. I'll ping MCE an email, see what they come up with.
Rules of the road in Spain Thought this might be worth going over before we go Driving in spain the laws, the laws on driving in spain, speed limits spain
Just been sat down looking 'between threads' at some of the places that are potential hit list for visits. Here's a taster Monseratt. Barcelona N260 Pyrenees
This is the Col d'Aubisque in the Pyrennes on the French side. Single track road with awesome views and not much to stop you going over the edge!
Those are fully grown trees at the bottom Ken, just to give you some idea of the drop! Lots of roads like this, sometimes you can't get on because the photo opportunities are never ending.
It's a freaky thing dude but if I was riding that I'd have to force myself to steer away from the edge. It's like gravity.
If I had to die and had the choice of death, what better way to go than over the edge whilst riding my bike I've already told my partner I want my ashes taking to the Pyrenees when I die. I know it sounds a bit morbid but what a great resting place!
You have to be a bit careful about dramatic locations for disposal of remains Steve. Jeanette's uncle wanted us to cast his ashes from the top of a Tor on Dartmoor. Bloody windy up there it was, and a lot of us stood close together. Not so romantic when your last resting place is a dry cleaners in Tavistock. Jimbo, you'd be amazed what vertigo does to your perception of gravity. That's why we had to get rid of all our thick carpets.
A few places of interest around Andorra Museu de la Xocolata A chocolate museum in Barcelona Societe des Caves de Roquefort A cheese museum making Roquefort not far from the Millau Bridge
