Weirdly I see that as normal I do some very long days at times (like day trips to dublin etc.) and when you get home you are almost over tired and need to do something totally different to switch off / unwind before you can settle for the evening - odd I know but I can see why you did it- esp. if you have been stuck inside all day without fresh air.
Jimbo.........."is that parcel tape smears on your HRC tank" and you washed the R1 first ??????? Mate get down the quacks quick !!
Yes mate... From where I duct taped it up after "fieldgate" lol... Don't worry, getting a new one - nice and clean!
Whilst appreciating the efforts of your good self .I feel it only right to inform our fellow enthusiast that a 14 hour day for a Young buck like yourself would only be 5 man hours of proper work hence the spare energy to perform this small and menial task .ps lol .
Nah, you're okay James. I remember coming home from Paignton bike night once and not being able to see in my mirrors for condensation all the way home. I posted on here, asking if anybody else had seen anything like it. Nobody had, but someone, forget who, said could it be salt spray from the onshore breeze and and proximity to the high tide. So half eleven at night I was out with the snow foam gun frantically dousing the blade to wash off the dreaded crust. I text my mate to warn him and he text back that he was doing the same. Some serious curtain twitching that night.
And I think that's why you never ever really see any poor looking sports bikes its the pure love of the machine and not forgetting the dollar they cost to replace .
My neighbours think I'm crazy anyway... If they think I'm totally weird, they might ignore me altogether! Really not a clean freak at all, but after last weeks ride out in the rain / salty roads and slinging it in the garage, then riding to work in the wet again sat, it was as bad as I've ever let a bike get.. Plus as alblade said... Good way to switch off after work.
I've come to think that nothing about these bikes is unreasonable. They demand their own logic. I reckon if I need to explain anything about bikes to someone they will never get it. Or they decide to ride a motorcycle.
Jimbo, I've just emailed the hotels. They said they will leave the hose pipe connected whilst we are there, therapy x 19 just for you mate I'll bring your beer out to you
its not a bad shout to clean bikes up on a trip of an evening - you pick up on things getting lose / needing attention before they are problems - plus the photos look better! Can of GT85 and kitchen roll = clean white wheels etc!
