I just went and had a look and my chicken strips are currently about an inch or so, front and back. Sniggersome for some of you more "committed" geezers on here I 'spect, but considering the roads down here are currently made of potholes connected by the gravel that came out of them, I'm more than happy to leave them the way they are. I prefer pissing contests old style and am too fat now to slide all the way under a number 2 bus without touching the sides.

Ive noticed that my chicken strips are not even... i love left handed corners and tend to hang off a bit more than right handers.. However the right side of the tyre has smaller chicken strips than the left.... also noticed i need a new front tyre..

Is it not the hanging off that keeps the bike more upright so having the strips that way round makes sense?

I am more committed on left handers than right handers, I just feel more comfortable on the left ones, feels much more natural. There is usually more of a chicken strip on the right hand side of my tyre, not by much, but there is a difference.

I'm more confident on the right hand side, this is due to 2 reasons that I can think of
1- my joint replacements are on the left so less confident that side
2- the town I live in has a fecking roundabout aprox every 100 meters!!

Happier on fast rights and tight lefts, worst enemies are mini roundabouts!

I did notice '2' when I was up there last year. The sat nav didn't have time to give me the instructions before the next one came up. The only place I know that's worse is around Ringwood.

Yes there is, if you lean to much you will fall off the edge of the tyre ;)

We've mused on this phenomenon of left or right preference before. I strongly wonder if it's the prospect of a bigger run off out of the corner of your right eye.

A big fan of Lefts, tight or wide open lefts is what I am better with, even now with a more fecked left hip than my right

Strangely, I am far more confident whacking around a sharp right after I have just been around a sharp left, probably because I have not time to think about it. I find it easier when I throw it from one side to the other.
