Last year I found fillet steak wrapped in bacon and stuffed with fois gras.

    It was a bit......rich.

Put that on a fried crouton and serve with a maderia sauce and you have got a Tournedos Rossini, classic french dish.

Remal, try getting an over ripe avacado pear, mash half of it onto a lightly toasted ciabatta ( you can also drizzle with olive oil and fry one side in a really hot frying pan ) then sprinkle with grated stilton touch of ground black pepper and melt back under the grill.... de-lish..

I had a thing called Brick de Camembert in Honfleur last week. Similar sort of thing. It's camembert cooked in very very thin flaky pastry and served on a salad. Quite nice it was.

I also had something called Potjevleesch. Which is 4 slow-cooked white meats served with chips and salad. The white meats being veal, turkey, rabbit and pork. The meat's served cold. Not too marvellous.

sorry i aint replied earlier .ive only had it twice myself, once in cairo and once in sharm
4 of us went and as me and my mate will eat pretty much anything we thought we would give it a go,
didnt know what to order and the restaurant was very quiet so the chefs decided we should try a bit of everything.
so the second time we said just serve us a mixture .
the food is fairly dry and spicy and from what ive had bloody ansome, dont think there is any down this way but when i go up country i will av a look for some.
one thing that was a bit overated was flash fried ants, thought they were bitter personally

lebanese food is basically the same as any other arabic/middle eastern style, although it is very good.

going to a lebanese restaurant in T'egypt is like going for an indian in india :D
