Seeing as though i,m not on a Blade i am happy for peeps to mount cameras on my bike and i will sit at the back filming, or photographing any fly bye,s.
Just an update regarding what we are each carrying, as my previous post. I got a PM back from Opie oils this morning, they don't stock Wurth lube, does anyone have a problem with another product? or do you wish to continue with Wurth? i was going to order two 500ml cans, be plenty for the bikes over the weekend? opinions please.
Heres the full conversation regarding the chain lube, Just need recommendations. Guy at Opie oils has kindly offered to donate a couple of cans of chain lube, if we wold be as kind to make sure any pics used will be sporting. I hadn't considered asking for things gratis, have a look at the products Opie oils have to offer, and the cost of said product I'll stick into 1000rr.co.uk. Here's the PM's we exchanged. Cheers Guy Thanks for getting back to me Guy. ill have a word with the folks see if they have any other preference, makes sense to get it through yourselves, was mentioned if you had stickers with your Logo on? seeing as MCN are going to publish it, makes good business to get your name on a few bikes for the photos? regards Gary Hi Gary, Yes we have decals, if the riders want to put them on the bikes for the run I will donate some chain spray. This is what we have http://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-890-main...ys-fluids.aspx Cheers Guy
I'll see what I can bring along. Maybe some tools and Allen keys. Or a multimeter, heat shrink and solder iron.
Just got up to date with the payment for the 3 main B&B's. Does the Lux B&B for the Thursday before need paying upfront or on the day?
Just a quick update - For Thursday night I will contact Lux and ask about payment - I get the impression people want to pay up in advance so will try and arrange this. I've had a quick update of the route for whole trip - this link is the proposed one. Sunday has lots of options to cut bits out / short as people need - some may prefer a shorter final day - same as Saturday - you may want to miss Applecross but see Skye etc. Galashiels, Scottish Borders, UK to Moffat, Dumfries and Galloway, UK - Google Maps The total miles for the trip as listed is 710 miles plus your distance to / from the start point. We are overnighting at points D, G and P I will be putting together a 'tour guide' - a 4 or 6 page A5 document with each days route, hotel details and names and mobile number list (real and forum name) so everyone knows what is happening - this is a big group esp as many have never ridden together and you do get many different takes / styles of riding in a group.
Hey Guys just found out about this tonight! Sorry my finger ain't be on the pulse! Anyhoo have you got room for one more? If you have I'll double check work hols tomorrow but I should be good to go! I could meet up with you all at Queensferry it's only 2 mins down the road from me and I can join you from there.
Hi mate. You can check to see if there is any rooms left by contacting the B&B's from the first post (all theyre details are on there) and booking up yourself if you like, or get yourself booked in near by. (though I'm sure the B&B's still have room left) Would be good if you made it.
