    Hi All,

I am considering buying a Gear Indicator for my 2008 HRC Blade. Got a few questions:

Has anyone got one fitted, if so what make is it?

    Are they any good?

Are they difficult to fit, does fitting involve removing loads of bits?

    Cheers everyone

    Sturge

I have an Acumen dg8, seems pretty good and was plug and play, alot of people on here recommend Gipro, I have not used one so can't comment but its well recommended by these guys which is good enough for me :)

Standard feature on the MY12 Blades due to customer feedback complaining of the lack of one!

    'They' do listen, sometimes! :D

Just took them 7 years:rolleyes: As for the indicator relay which I discovered this evening is located between the headlights on 04/05 models:mad: Later 06 onwards seem to be beside the fuses,so that just took the 2 years to sort out.

Gi Pro for me. Piece of piss to fit. Plugs in the diagnostic socket in the battery compartment, just have to fish the socket out. Running the cable, I just took the tank cover off, lifted the tank on the hinge, chock of wood across the frame to hold the tank up while I threaded the cable through up and over the air box, basically bunching it with other cables that are running across.
I mounted mine on the left side of the clocks by the buttons and tied the cable to the bunch of cables running from the indicator switch/horn etc. Doing this though I had to make sure there was enough slack in the cable to allow for the steering lock left to right. I've seen it mounted on the side which in hindsight looks a neater solution but, I aint moving it now.
Setting up, 2 minute job - easy

    Lol

Youre proud as punch with that dash ain't you.

I personally think it would look better on my SP. So if you are feeling charitable you could hand it over, so it can sit pride of place ;)

    Thanks.

It really is 1 of those bikes that capture the soul. As soon as I seen and heard 1 for the first time I knew I would get 1 at some point. Amazing what a little change like the swingarm does to tidy it up. A couple of weeks and it will be back to tearing up the roads.

I'll have to make do with a carbon surround around my clocks for just now.
