Bought a new front tyre from SHORROCKS MOTORCYCLES, Preston. Racetec K2 for the amazingly low price of £116.00 fitted to a loose wheel! These guys are taking some flack from Shakey Byrne's team for apparently advertising tyre prices at a lower rate than they can buy them for! Dealt with Tony the main tyre guy and also suggested they give us a look with a view to coming onboard as a trader.
Also fitted new XBK brake pads while the wheel was off as the old ones were down to about 1mm, took stickers off the tank and swingarm and fitted 1000RR.CO.UK sticker to seat cowl. I'm now ready to go for any spontaneous rideouts should the temperature suddenly surge above my benchmark 12 degrees!

    Pumped my tyres up .....

I could hear they were low but wasn't expecting the front @ 27 and the rear @ 35.
    Back up to 36/42 :)

Well as I was feeling a little stressed and the roads were dry I decided to go out for a blast today. Not a good day, a white van nearly wiped me out head on as he decided to overtake without looking what was coming on the other side of the road ie me.

If that was not enough, when I parked up at home the bike was pouring antifreeze everywhere. I had hoped it was a loose hose but unfortunately it was the rad itself. This is the third second hand rad that has bitten the dust since the f......in deer smashed the original.

I have ordered a replacement rad from the states as I can't afford £600 for an OE new one atm and I am not buying a 4 th secondhand one. Will fit the new one and then try to get the current one repaired.

Apart from that I had a great day................not.

IStarted to dry fit the CRC fairings today few tweeks and bit of patience needed but pretty enjoyable on the whole. Not decided yet wheter Im going to keep the belly pan whole or cut it to use the side stand...also fitted new carbon exhaust strap as one one had split. Just the air tubes and nose cone to go now oh and HM QS once I've got it off Arthur ;)
