Well i Got the blade out of the garage this morning. Its the First time shes seen fresh air since Al and I did the Blackpool Illuminations run, way back in October. I gave her a loving wash off, as I had been sawing some wood, and the dust had gotten into places I couldn't reach. After taking her off the paddock stands I just couldn't resist, so I turned the key and pushed the noise button. First push and she starts to purr like a kitten I'm in love all over again, and cant wait till I can throw my leg over and take the open roads. Just letting the sun that we have take effect against the water, before I take her back to the garage blow a little water off the technical bits and spray the chain. See you all in March.

You need to be handing that machine over to me its no good tucked away I will collect over the weekend use it and bring it back to you in May.
First run of the year for me is like starting big school all over again, a mixture of nerves and excitement, tense body, pounding heart and wobbly legs. Leathers feel tight and restricting, helmet is claustrophobic and every nerve end in my body is saying ‘be careful, be respectful or you’re going to get hurt’ just like walking past the bigger boys in the corridor. But once you get the first few days out the way you relax, the head up, shoulders back swagger returns and think ‘come on then lets have it’ I only hope is that unlike big school I don’t get my butt kicked for trying to be the man (or in this case John McGuinness ) before learning the rules of engagement. Moral to the story: If you haven’t ridden since last year. Just take it easy girls and boys, relearn the rules and let yourself get back into the groove before trying to prove your something you aren’t. Have fun but ride safe.
