THe 12 plate computer has some want litres per mile that nobody uses -

The 08 - 11 display is good but not obvious at first - when it hits reserve it displays 0.0 - it then counts UP in parts of a gallon used, when you get to 0.5 its about to run out, but IF you brimmed the tank when you reset it MAY go to 0.7 before you fail to proceed.

If you flick to average MPG on your display when fuel light comes on its then dead easy to work out range till you will conk out, just halve the average MPG and that is your reserve range.

Does that make sense to everyone?

Hi i have an 2009 HRC i get on average 120 to a tank full with wife on back and fairly hard riding, ive an aftermarket can but i do run the original co2 senser, on one service it was plugged up to honda laptop and was found to be running out of correct parameters so they corrected this via honda hand held computer since then the bike has felt fantastic crisp throttle response and no stutters at all.

Reserve on my 2012 blade starts after around 140-160miles. I once ran the tank near empty (flashing 3.5 at me after reserve) and i'd covered 201 miles!!

Am i just riding like a f@nny or something?!

In 2006 I could fill a tank for 16 quid and yet Ken tells me that in the forties he could fill up his Brough superior for 15 shillings just goes to show you how it goes up

156 miles:) until the light came on, i was gobsmacked. I did get it up to 3 figure speeds hereand there but I am still running it in I have been keeping it mostly under 6000 RPM, there was snow on the ground so i was using the Torque and very little brakes. But still nice to know that in that mode you can getting 50mpg.

Of course our friend here must be riding the skin of it you maybe need to get yourself into the TT:D

Thrash your bike for a day keeping the revs above mid range
And you will be surprised how quick the fuel runs out.
Could be worse, you get about 60 miles on a 848 with spirited riding.

I got 75 miles to a tank today, then threw £8.50
in it and managed another 36 before the fuel light
came on again......this is a damn costly passtime.

Road miles, range is about 130. Once I start lapping the Nordshleife that goes down to under 90miles on a tankful.

I have just fitted a QA throttle, so it will be interesting to see if that makes a difference

I still can't find the 'supposed' Fuel Gauge in the menu system on my bike?

Just using the trip at the mo as getting around 140 to a tank in this weather.
