I used them last year when some silly bugger rear-ended me on the way to work in the morning and they sorted me out brilliantly. As you say it's nice to be able to tell the insurance companies to shove it when they offer you the legal protection for a mere £50 extra or whatever it is these days.

Are they not yet another insurance broker hiding the fact behind the "free subscription"? My advice:

    - avoid legal protection arranged through a broker - be it an add on to your vehicle insurance or a free subscription

    - if you have an accident and you're clearly at fault - let your motor insurer deal with it or hire an independent solicitor to protect yourself from your insurer not wanting to cover your cost as they should

    - if you have an accident that is not your fault - go online and find a specialist solicitor (important for motorcycle accidents) who would take the case on no win no fee basis

No they're not. As I say it's an independent company who deal with motor vehicle legal protection. I know this because I was best man at one of the head honcho's wedding and have known him since I was 14 years old :D

I think they're just another broker - see their frirst FAQ explaining why it is free and how they recover their cost. If I had an accident on the bike and not my fault I'd gone through a few bike mags (or use google) and find a specialist solicitor advertising as a specialist solicitor. I would do a quick online check on them before hiring them. Simples.

Sounds suspicious to me. The generic URL doesn't fill me with confidence either.
Mind you, I don't trust any company involved in any kind of insurance and/or legal claims :)
