Fitted the flush mount LED front indicators and resistors. £10 well spent as it's a much cleaner look now.

May fit the rears tomorrow as I've got carbon arrows waiting to go on.

Finally finished fitting my new Hel braided brake lines. You cant beat that feeling when the, after meticulous methodical bleeding, you are rewarded with a rock hard firm lever (oo-er missus!)

Went to my local dealer who has just taken delivery of my new Repsol blade. GB engine covers r and g tail tidy, asv levers, plus a few bits to be put on before it leaves the shop. Trouble is I am off to work on Sunday for the week driving buses around so will pick it up Thursday/Friday next week.

Paul, where is the dealer mate. I'm curious as I was in your neck of the woods last year and while the missus was soaking up the sun and touristy stuff, I was casting about me for a bike shop to browse and never found one.

Ah, you didn't look hard enough. There are 4 dealers on the island, most in town, you have Motorama, which do aprillia , Yamaha, bikers who do Ducati , Kawasaki and Suzuki and Gordon BISSONS, who do Honda, which is where I purchased my bike from. Have got all my previous Hondas, vfrs x3 and blackbird x1 all new over the years from BISSONS. Windy and cold down here at the moment !!:D

Yes I am over the moon, although as my trusty gsxr1000k2 is a large ish bike when I walked towards the showroom i thought that the blade was infact a 125/250 as its somewhat smaller than my current bike, which is still staying. Even now it goes like stink but fancied something current(ish)Even at the grand old age of 47! Well you know, you've got to do these things every now and again. Already booked le mans in July for 3 days with eybis, will try and show troy corser a few newer lines around the track:D

It's windy and cold here too mate but its getting to me about 20 minutes after it leaves you. I was cracked up when we left Jersey back in may on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and by the time the aircraft turned around to face north I could see where I lived through the window. It took twice as long to get our bags off the plane than the flight lasted.

I know what you mean, I had a GSXR1000K7, the IOM TT model that had the Yoshi twin cans on. Went out for a blast that took me past a Honda dealership, turned around and went in, and the rest as they say is history. In comparison the Gixer was a barge. I'm at 47 too and have never grown up anymore since I had my RRN in 1992.

Love to see some more pics of the bike as you mod it

Are you likely to ever be that far from a petrol station though?

Steve, are you resetting the trip meter every time you fill up? you'll get to know roughly when the light will come on and so a good idea of how many you've got left.
