Right. Sorry this is dragging on. Believe it or not I am screwed in March unless we do it on a Friday evening in which case it shouldn’t be to hard to sort out a few dates. I am wondering if this is not such a bad idea anyway seeing as I doubt any of us are going to be fit for bugger all the next morning anyway.

Perhaps you wouldn’t mind giving me your thoughts on a Friday meet up and if that’s not a flyer then be my guest and go ahead with out me, I won’t be offended.

Seeing as its me that’s pissing about I guess the first round should be on me.

    Friday's fine by me.

Can always 'let the train take the strain'. Which is my line and don't let anyone say otherwise.

if possible can there be as much notice as possible for a definite date, that way i will be able to have a greater chance of attending this prestigious event.

Right, put your listening ears on....

I have a window of opportunity, yeah yeah I know its me that holding this thing up but I have a PA and three directors that have read and right access to my diary I am not master of my own domain during the week and although we have a work / life corporate policy that isn’t worth the paper its written on.

I have noted the comments from Jimbo (so before your holiday) and Gums (if your on garden leave no notice required)

So,….next Friday 28th. Given my director has just announced he will be away its looking good and I can box it off without to much trouble.

    I have couple of ideas:

A/. Meet up at a central bozzer. ie The Marquess of Anglesey on the corner of Bow Street and Russell Street just off Covent Garden have a few sherbets then find a curry / Chinese some where.

B/. Meet up in the same place and then bugger off to The Imperial China restaurant in China Town, cracking place with lovely food but with a twist. A private room with a Karaoke machine to make as much mayhem as we like for £28.50 a skull including food but excluding drink and service charge but we need a minimum of 12 people. It says 10 but that not including Friday or the weekend. We went there for Lings 40th and it was a right laugh. See link below:

    http://www.imperial-china.co.uk/Private Room (Karaoke) Menus (chinatown).pdf

Over to you guys but if you are interested in option B we need to pull our fingers out to book it.

Come on then Giv, get your lardy northern arses on a train, There is a cheap Travellodge in Drury lane to wash the blue paint off and back to the cold and darkness the next morning. Sorted! Or, are you scared of the ‘soft southerners’ out singing you

No I think its the thought of getting lost in the smog . But it may well be something we will consider .quite like the idea of going in the Blind Begger pub and soaking up some of that old sixties bullshit in.

It's the electric lights. It scares them.

I went in the Blind Beggar once. A loooong time ago. It felt like a haunted house.

I wonder if Ken would walk in front of our trolley bus with a candle in a jam jar and with a white flag that way we could find our way to the B&B .

The Blind Beggar, I never been, I have heard of it and think its over Whitechapel way, but you can listen to bullshit in any of the boozers in town you just have to leave your ears open, personally I get enough at work so chose tend to close mine when I am having a pint.
