O.k, I got my first piece of Kriega a us30 i am also going to get a 20 to go on top too, Whilst it came with a fantastic array of straps, how the Fcuk do you fit it to the bike? I can see where the straps and hooks go, I've Sussed that, I have loosen the rear seat unit to get the straps around the subframe. But Does it A go sideways onto the bike? B go lengthways onto the bike? Next and final question, when fitting the bag/straps, what's the recomedation? Seat hump in place or the actual seat? If I go with the seat hump, it seems a little flimsy? In advance. Thank you.
Seat unit so that it doesnt scratch the top of cowling and can take weight. Not sure on Kreiga straps though.I'm sure someone will put you right.
Don't use the hump, put the rear seat on. Get some non slip webbing too dude, and put that on the seat, then the us30 on top.
Like the stuff they sell in Homebargains for car dash boards anti slip mat for mobile phones etc? I will have to see if I can pack the seat hump though, if we stay somewhere for 2-3 nights and just go out on day trips? The seat unit spoils the look of the bike, or should I put vanity aside in this instance?
Yup, that's the stuff... Get it bigger than you need, and let it cover a bit of the rear plastics... Reason being if the us30 moves, it won't scratch buggery out of the paintwork. eBay sells rubber webbing cheap as chips Gaz. i wouldn't bother taking the cowl mate, you may use your kreiga for your camera kit....
I have the Givi for the camera equipment mate. Easy access and good for all the other tat you keep with you on a walk around. so long as I have cash passport and credit card with me they can take my clothes I know it's not related? But I bought some chamois for wrapping the camera and lens in too
Chamois, good call. I bought some for my lenses, but used them for the bike lol. be careful on the chamois by the way, lenses and cameras don't like moisture...it holds moisture, so if they get damp, it'll fek the camera and lenses mate.
Thinking about it Lambeth longshanks, that may possibly suit my needs better, taking a tripod for camera. My, so many decisions
And as a fashionable tank bag. And definitely not with the seat hump, shipmate. Did you get the straps round the rear subframe? The nice thing is being able to tuck away the wee metal hooks under the seat when they're not being used.
MrB can you tell me what the combo is in the picture please? Is it a US20 & US10 or a US30 & US20? Thanks
