Caz... easy to remember and easy to spell

Also short for Carol which, coincidently, happens to be my name :sarcastic:

I accidentally bought a 6 man tent doing exactly that. Bearing in mind I really struggle to stay anywhere without a mini-bar, TV on Demand, 24-hr room service and a concierge (in that order), you can understand how foolish a decision it was. It lived in the under stairs cupboard for 18 months, before being gifted to some 'out-doorsy-type' friends we have.

I too believe that a 4 star hotel is 'roughing it'. I've never bought a thing on eBay, I'm too easily stitched up. Mrs Ken lives in constant fear that i'll bump into someone with a handful of magic beans. But once, whilst imbibing, with a mate, he put some used fireworks up for a laugh and got two bids.

Good call Ken. I struggle as well.

Everyone gets stitched up as their early initiation to eBay, then you learn the rules on what to look for & your away - although it has been the source of some interesting maverick purchases and some huge savings (saved 300 quid on my Yoshi R-77 & got it shipped over from the US).

Mrs. V spends enough money on eBay to keep a small African economy afloat, but I just focus on the savings she tells me she's made.

    Ditto Dan.

You can also find some trick bits on there that you just can't get in the UK (like a Yoshi steering stem nut etc.)

A customer of mine once spent £1700 quid on a camera from the far east and 'wired' the cash in payment. Yes, you guessed, no camera. Six months pass and he does the self same thing again with exactly the same result. His excuse, once we'd ripped enough piss out of him to cause kidney failure, was 'I didn't think it could happen twice'.

If anyone has some magic beans, I could PM them his address.

No, no, no - you never wire the monies directly! I have a confirmed PayPal account, so I'm fully insured (albeit up to 500 notes). AND you always make sure they're a powerseller or more, have masses of feedback, check out any bad feedback & check out their commercial website, if they're a shop that sells on eBay.

Saying that, my father-in-law is a sucker for phishing emails & get done all the time (well, twice).

It's great though, eh. eBay is creating the next generation of urban myths almost single handed. The guy I bought my Ducati off tried to sell his dog of a Cerbera on there and got so stressed out that if it sold the buyer would give him a hard time for selling him a lemon that he bid for it himself. I wouldn't be surprised if he even wrote himself a cheque.LOL

Oops. Just realised that I've not played. Easy really. My initials ar KP, my baby brother's initials are KP, so when we were kids, I was KP1 and he was KP2.

When I first saw 'Aliens', I really liked the sound of the marine sargeant's name, Apone, so I started spelling it kpone.

I like eating sausages. I really like eating sausages.

The wife joked one day that I eat sausages so much that one day I'll look like one. At that moment I was looking for a new forum tag and the rest as they say, is sossige.
