got back yesterday from a good blast round Wales yesterday, (bloody cold), washing the salt off this morning and i found a small thorn in the front tyre, i haven't touched it yet, what to do next, 1. pull it out.2 go to tyre depot where you can be sure they will want to sell me a new tyre, 3. do they seal themselves, only its implanted in my brain now, (somewhere)

pull it out , it would have to be a bloody strong thorn to go through the carcass

If the tyre has loads of life left in it then go and get it plugged but if its nearly bald then i would get a new 1. i would not pull it out at home. ride to the tyre shop and then pull it out, then if it has gone all the way through the tyre you dont have to move it anywhere

dont forget it is their job to put doubt into your mind so that you will buy a new tyre even if it is fine.
i know i am a supervisor in a truck dealership , and the amount of tyres that my mechanics knock as being u/s and then i go round , check and say that they are alright is unbelievable.

If it goes down replace it, no reputable garage will repair a sports bike tyre, it's just not safe, it's not worth the risk IMO

had a few thorns wreck tyres on me,
as long as its not too close to the side
wall I plug it (internal patch with plug).
have had too many tyres to count plugged
    and never any issues.
