1984 GSXR slabsider project

    What do you guys think of this ? Invested £300 in it..... see it as a long term project. might stick it in the living room....

    Keeping it in the living room though would be a crime.

    Yes the classic slabside....... remembering emptying my SACS to this 80 s baby........ a snip i ll say at a few hundred quid.... whats the plan ? strip and rebuild to showroom condition ???

    No idea really my bike collection is growing. Have this and a 2005 K5 then bought a 2011 Repsol blade at the weekend. The K5 is up for grabs if anybody interested ( see the for sale section ).

    I had it running the other week. It hadnt fired up for 7 years and the brakes were solid on it.

    Fresh fuel and some redex and it finally just about idled. Gave it some revs and it went bang and piles of shit flew out the back. Runs ok now ha..... flat slide carbs are shite though compared to FI......

    How things have progressed in 20 years. When i pull on the brakes i can see the calipers flexing !!!!!!!

    Cant wait to have a blast on it eek !!!!!!

    rubber gloves over the hoses. the brakes were seized solid after sitting for 7 years

    had to drag it into the van

    love these one of my fav bikes currently cant beat a good slabby

    Nice, £300 is a bargain mate,always wanted a slabby but ended up with this in '93 and still got it :D
