I'm thinking about a trip over to K-tech in Derbyshire one day for a suspension setup session. My suspension is on totally standard settings at the moment. I'm just under 13stone at the moment, so dont know if the standard settings are close to being right for me? Road surfacing is pretty bad in places here in Snowdonia and I noticed a hell of a difference changing the OEM Bridgestones for Diablo Rosso II's. Takes the uneven surfaces and crappy tar spraying more in its stride now. Hoping for a similar improvement again from fettling the suspension. What is the general consensus on the standard settings (too hard, too soft, not enough damping etc?)

Hi Gareth We can offer you a ride in /ride out set up for your bike, this takes around 30 minutes and includes checking the front and rear spring preload (sag) and setting the compression and rebound adjusters for optimum performance of the standard units. If you would like to have this work carried out on your bike please give our workshop a call on 01283 559 004 and they will make an appointment for you to do this. We normally need around three working days to make this appointment and charge 35.00 + VAT to carry out the work. I guarantee they will try to sell you front springs and a revalve! Your rear spring will be ok for your weight but the front end is oversprung and the rebound is far too fast I found +1 turn rebound - 0.5 turn comp works well on he front. I have bought a lot from k tech in the past (shocks and cartridge kits as well as sending shocks for re valve etc). I found they didn't give any support regarding set up but maybe a ride in/out service would be better. I left the rear alone for now.
They are, literaly, round the corner from me so would be interested in the results if you go for the service. Need to get my Blade and track Kwak B1h set up. Keep us updated please.
just had a word with John from Alpha suspension, he is willing to come to somewhere in Lincs to set up our suspension if we can get 8+ bikes? so if anyone would like their bikes suspension set up please let me know here or pm me and if we get 8 or more i will try sort something out? it will work out at £30 per bike Simon

I'm getting mine set up by Steve Jordan on the 23rd. Hoping for a good setup and some advise on different setups
What time are you going? I need to work out if i can be ready in time due to the late finish the noght before.
I reckon I will go mid morning but will stay for a good while, gotta make use of the bbq, music and babes alpha will be there all day so no need to rush
