Only got the current mot and log book. He said the bloke he bought it off lost it as it was stored and he moved house a few times in that period, which I think is understandable
Ok mate I'll leave that to your judgment then as you've been to see the bike and guy. Just remember people will make up all sorts of stories to try and hide things. Get a "full" HPI check done for piece of mind. Me personally I'd be sceptical about any story given to me about how paperwork gets lost. (I have been caught out before)
That bike has been down on its side. Scuff on bottom of right hand fairing, replaced wing mirrors, indicators, footrest, exhausts, rear seat cowl, and no pics of left hand side.
Just used autocheck experian one and look what came back had told him i would prob have the bike but i dont think i will be now. will text him to get the vin number and few other bits to add to the check to get more info.
Ok I know that report looks bad and would deff put me off BUT.......guys this is being sold by a Honda dealer is it not? The way I see things is get them to explain the report as they have prob done bigger and better reports being a dealer, then use the report as a bargaining tool. You could get this for a really good price and I doubt Honda would be selling it if it was dodgy.
Right a bit of a development. Got an email from experian about the hpi check saying the company interested in the bike is eurodebt. So i just gave them a ring and they have siad the debt comes from 2005 and they are no longer interested in it and have sent me an email to say so and are removing the high risk marker from the hpi check. I have also text the fella selling it to get the vin number and engine number and the v5 reference number so i can do a few more checks. So the question now is, as the bike is going to be hpi clear what do i do ?????????
Ok the hpi is all clear now and no worries with it. So I'm thinking I will prob go for it now, can't see any other issues with it now.
