I was trawling e-bay last night and noticed this little beauty. Well, I like it - what do you lot think? Is it worth a punt?

    HONDA CBR1000RR 8 12 LEOVINCE FACTORY R SLIP-ON EXHAUST | eBay

(Just found what I think is the link to the actual LV website - HONDA CBR1000RR FACTORY 'R' SLIP-ON EXHAUST)

If I did go for it would I need to do anything else to the bike? I've only got the stock exhaust on the bike at the moment (the most ambitious mods so far are the R&G frame sliders :)) and I'm a complete modding noob, so any advice would be appreciated.

Also, if someone could give me tips on how to get away with buying this, and appeasing Mrs Stu, that would be grand :D

Hi Steve, you are just down the road from me being in Burton. I have just brought a Yoshimura R77 that just goes straight onto the standard headers and will run ok, do no harm to the engine etc etc.. But I will eventually put a Power Commander on the bike with a custom map, just to make it sing!

Yes you should go for it. I think its 1 of the best looking exhausts around and im sure it will run fine on its own but a power commander will help you get 100% of the performance available

I've been called many things in my time but Steve is a new one ;) If we are close then we should arrange a meet one day. I've never been to the Victoria pub in Coalville :) seems as good a place as any.

It's definitely one of my favourite looking pipes and I'd love it on the bike. I can't afford to get a PC too (to be honest - I really can't afford the LV - but I should really treat myself as I've been ever so good) so I'd just be starting with the exhaust and building from there. I'll have to think about it a bit more I think. I'm just glad no one said to stay away as it's a pile of poop.

    Stu,

It doesn't seem that you are getting a bargain on that e bay listing, as the price is the standard price direct from LV?
So you can take your time on deciding or perhaps you can behave some more ;) before making the leap

Sorry Stu, don't know where Steve came from. I would certainly be up for meeting up when the sun finally comes out to play, I don't think I've ever been to the Victoria pub. I've been to Bassets Pole bike meet quite a few times, the boys in blue are hot on it though in the summer. I once went to The Wild Ox meet, not so many turn out there but it's a much better ride to it than Bassets Pole.

Yes, it's the same price. I noticed that after I'd got all excited about the e-bay listing. I didn't know if it was a special offer or not. Yes - more good deeds needed at home before I take the plunge I think. I'm just glad that it's a decent one.

@Shing - OK that sound like a plan; when the sun is out lets grab an outdoor table and a pint. I've not met any of the forum members so it'll be nice. Maybe we could get a few more involved and have a proper gathering. Check out the website: VIC BIKERS PUB WEBSITE

The ebay advert is Leo Vince!

Moto.GB.Distribution is the Parent Company that Leo Vince trades under.

If you look at the Leo Vince website you'll see that.

The ebay site will be easier to order off probably as it will do Paypal etc

I'm sure there would be a few forum members from the Midlands area up for a bit of a gathering Stu.

And through e-bay I get Nectar points too :).

I realised that it was all the same company after I'd posted - I should have just posted the one link so that I didn't appear to be such a moron :).

I saw this on e-bay at the weekend and quite liked the look of it too. Anyone heard of them? :

NEW 08-13 Honda CBR1000RR Mini 8in Carbon Fiber Exhaust Muffler Silencer Slip-On | eBay

it looks quite tasty and is a damn site cheaper than the LV.
