Can everyone attending this trip please send me a personal message with their full name, mobile number and bike colour - I'm putting a list together for everyone going as it could come in very handy before and after - if anyone would prefer not to share this let me know and will just let Colin and myself have the numbers - they won't be published here - just included in the rotue guide I am putting together.

Also rough area you are travelling from may help some plan getting north / south

Just met up with Alblade to go over the Route Guide for the tour.

Really nice guy and probably knows more of Scotland than I do with the amount of miles he's done up here :)

Good to catch up - trip going to be epic, good news is I am almost fluent in Scottish now from trips with work / on bike etc. Some English will get a right shock at some of the lingo but my top tip is just answer 'aye' and nod!

Have a few ideas / suggestions to share with all - currently in a bar with a bottle of Brew Dog so all is good.

Hmm, easy one to answer, 1,300 mile trip - one bike is sub 30mpg and the other over 50

Do the math as they say in the US

And my bike is now lubed, serviced, luggaged up & ready to go :)
Except for the back tyre, which is in my garage waiting to be fitted so I don't square it off in the mean time.

Looking up for those blue skies though.

    Exciting news guys

I've just had confirmation from HRCTrev that we now have ourselves a few parade laps of the Knockhill Race Circuit on the Friday that we set of for the tour.

A big thanks to HRCTrev is on the cards I think. ;)

A drysuit may be more appropriate.

I'm still undecided on Textiles or 2 peice leathers. I'll let the weather dictate nearer the time.
If going with leathers then I'll be carrying these just in case:-

A 2 piece suit is fine. I don't think we will be bombing it round anyways as it will just be parade laps n not a trackday ;)
