Not bloody happy with HM / TNT so fitted my quickshifter the other week only to find out when i started the bike it was running on 3 cylinders. So thinking i had cocked it up i took it down to my local garage for a 2nd opinion. it turned out part of the loom that attatches to coil no.1 was broken which was the reason for cylinder no.1 not working and also it couldnt be fixed :-( I bought it 2nd hand so couldnt claim a new 1 for free so i wont on hm's website to buy a new 1. I could not believe they were charging £50 + VAT for a tiny loom and to add insult to injury the delivery cost was £9.50 + VAT so in total it cost me £71 I ordered the product at 4.45pm ( ok a little late) but hm didnt inform tnt that an item was ready to be picked up untill 2.30 the next day. TNT then sent me an email saying they had my parcel and it was being sent by express delivery and it would be delivered the following day, but guess what it hasnt turned up more than 48hrs after i placed the order. Whilst i understand the delivery delay has nothing to do with hm you would think if they are charging you £11+ for delivery they would pick a bloody company that can deliver on time. So my bike is still in bits and i pray it will finally turn up tomorrow, but even if it does i will still be left very dissapointed with this service
Sorry Fez but this may be an age thing ! how many milliseconds are you thinking of saving between gear changes ? Or are you priming yourself for a life on the Tracks?
quickshifters can still be fun on the roads too giv, but your right it is probably an age thing track days are high on my priority list though and i hope to do some later in the year
I've had items sent out to me several times, by 24hr and 48hr delivery for them not to arrive on the expected day. Like you say when your paying top dollar for express service that what you should be getting! I was a bit gutted when you beat me to buying the Hm quickshifter the other week, not so much now tho! That would have been just my luck aswell thinking i was getting a bargain only for it to work out more than a new one! Did you not see how much Arthur could have supplied the part you needed for?
Sorry mate I had to laugh there. Normally it's me that this kinda stuff happens to So much so I've ended up just thinking when I order stuff that it will be here when it's here. That way I don't stress as much as I used to. Funny though since taking this way of thinking has seen my stuff arrive quicker than I thought.
yeh sorry about beating you to it andrew, but have a look at this if you are still after 1 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hm-quicks...34?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3380a04ea2 i dont regret buying it as it did come with the shift rod included which did save a few £££ so it hasnt worked out more expensive than a new 1, did have a chat about it with arthur and he said that he might be able to fix it for me as he knows them much better than my mechanic, but i was just to impatient and wanted to order a new 1 there and then
the same thing happens to me sometimes mate but thats normally the mrs arriving back home sooner than i hoped for lol
Cheers for the link, but i'm not sure if it woud fit my bike as i've got a RR6! Is that the + version like yours?
Ha ! I knew you would bite but is it really an age thing or is it that you have been seduced by tales of getting into 3rd gear a split second faster than your mate ? The roads I ride on (besides the odd fast straights) are full of coffin dodgers clogging the lanes so there would be no real need for this new fangled super zoom equipment ! Opps ! There I go again .
Yes works on all plug top coil Hondas and Suzuki, Fez I did say Id look and poss fix that loom for free, if you want to send it to me to look at then do mate.
i would check with arthur but i dont see why it wouldnt, the sensor and lcd part of the kit are generic for all bikes and the loom is also generic for all honda and suzukis so the only part you might need to buy is a new shift rod that is the correct length for your bike
no its certainly an age thing but i have a very nice route on my doorstep that covers about 85-90 miles and its all twisty open roads so getting stuck behind traffic is not an issue even in the summer holidays
cheers arthur i will send it down to you when i get it back and if you can fix it then great i will be able to sell it on and get some money back but if not then it doesnt matter
I feel for you Barry. I've had a ranty day too, then I got home and the results from my blood pressure check up was in. I'm having a bit of a lie down now.
im having a lie down now ken, my mrs treated me to a giant pork pie, just what i need to reduce my blood pressure
Just don't put any salt on it mate. Unless Giant Pork Pie is an East Yorkshire euphemism....? I had to send a brand new camera back to Fuji for repair for the second time today and nobody there is responding to my emails, and guess what.....the bloody thing is mine!
well relaxing didnt go well, i just got off the phone from TNT only for them to tell me my item has not even been picked up yet so i double checked my invoice from HM and look what i found order date :19.03.2013 due date :16.04.2013 they can piss right off if they think i am waiting 4 weeks for delivery, i have sent ben an email so hopefully he contacts me a.s.a.p other wise they will have 1 angry customer on the phone tomorrow morning
