You know what I'm talking about. The weather. Picked my bike up yesterday after being off it far too long. Weather was blinding after being rubbish for ages. Cheeky little mooch down to Hampshire today? Glorious sunshine. All thanks to you guys, our resident rain machines, holding back. Outstanding. And here's the proof. [/IMG] [/IMG] I'm BACK! Time for Fireblade Summer!
Hi Lambeth, you've an C-ABS bike from your pics, what did you do with the plastics that cover the left side engine case, have you taken it all off? I notice you've got a GB racing cover there instead.
You're welcome Alex, but can you put it back in the garage now. I've been holding this rain back for so long I'm in danger of drowning.
Looking at the front tyre tread you would be safe in a monsoon .Glad to see someone out as Friday and weekend looks the pits.
I had a lovely ride in to work this morning... Too short!! I wanted to keep on going............. That first pic has to be from a different day cuz you have no crash bung on the left side which is there on the later pics... WTF?!?!?!
Indeed, Bill. It's all gone. I remember reading somewhere that the covers won't fit the ABS model. Rung GBR and they said, give it a go and we'll refund if it doesn't fit. Was chuffed to bits when the mechanic said they went on a treat both sides.
It looks a hell of a lot better I must say. But I also read somwhere that the plastic covers are there to hide some ABS gubbins that live there, is this true do you know? what can you see on yours that we wouldn't see on a non-CABS?
It's gleaming! The McGuinness Skidmarx screen. They were another company who were a joy to deal with. Good Dorset mob. That screen makes such a difference, David. It's massive! So much less breezy behind it. Just get breeze on shoulders and helmet but no turbulence which is such a relief. R+G heated grips too. Lovely. Another gleaming company. Bought them and tail tidy at the London show. I told them they can either give me a discount or I'll just come back and nick them, south London style.
I hear you, shipmate. Normally I'm on it year round like Matrix. But I've been off it 9 months. 9 months! So getting back on it was a really odd combination of euphoria, coming back to a familiar friend and some fear. By the Power of Greyskull it's fast. And mine's standard!
I'm grateful. Can you not put it somewhere else? Like Bergen in Norway. It rains there a lot. I've got a joke about Bergen. It's a blinder. And can I put in a word for Si? He's such a nice chap. Can you make it nice in Cheshire? Pretty please.
Well spotted, that man! However it was the same day. I rode it to FWR Tyres and the ever gleaming Ian put them on.
