I have Dainese 2 peice which I love. quality and fit well. not crash tested but I have been a fan of Dainese gloves for years

and BKS made to measure leathers1 peice , Again quality fit, expensive but should stand up to most off's well I would have thought.

Can't bring myself to buy a onesy. I love the freedom a 2 piece gives you.
Don't get me wrong if I were tracking I would defo be going for a 1 piece, but I only ride on the road, and like to take the jacket off once stopped up somewhere.

I've got a set of 1p Wolf, there around 10 yrs old and have stood the test of time, they're well broken in now and it doesn't feel like i've got them on. Pain in the arse when it's cold as they're essentially summer leathers. I've been looking for a decent jacket to wear over the top but all the jackets I see have armour in which wouldn't go well with leathers that have armour in too. Anyone got any ideas on decent jackets without the knox stuff?

Does it need to be a leather jacket?

Nah Colin, just a textile jacket. I've got a Dianese jacket that's looking a bit ratty now with years of deceased bug abuse.

I've got 2 piece dainese leathers that I've had for three or four years, same issue as you billo, the jacket looked like a bug graveyard, no amount of cleaning gets rid of the ingrained stuff, so last year I bought a hm plant fleece at the NW200 brought it home, washed it four times in nikwax tx direct, and now it's totally waterproof. It's light enough to just throw on over the leathers and looks good. I think the coating seems to make it easier to wash crap and crud off as well.

Bought the daineses at hein Gericke in Leeds who were one of the few HG stores that carried them, the leather broke in really quickly, but I replaced the rigid dainese back protector with D30 bendy stuff to make them a bit more comfortable on when in a full on crouch!

1 piece BKS m2m and yep can be a pain in the arse tend to only wear on TD's or Summer hoons. If I'm going away I'll tend to wear my Rukka textiles for the convenience as I can take my Draggin jeans and wear those if I'm just nipping out somewhere. Not too mention taking a dump in the 1 piece and doing the fold up between your legs maneuver and hope you don't catch one of the kids as your dropping them off at the pool.

Always get mine at the bike show Colin. Paid £300 for my 1 piece beriks, they are the nutz.... My wolf were very comfy and surfed well in the field lol

My dianese 2 piece has lasted years and can't fault it, but know your not keen, however if you tried a 1 piece I'm sure you wouldn't go back to 2. Soooo much more comfy

I have tried a 1 piece before Jimbo. Really not keen as I find them hard work, and hard to find the right fit.

I went ahead and got myself a set of 2 piece RST Tractech Evo leathers, they feel much the same as the 1's I currently have only newer.

Also while in the shop I tried on the new Shoei GT Air. ( I think that's what it called anyway ). Quite like the design of that and I may go for 1 in the next few weeks once I build up my bank balance again.
