Having bought a blade i am waiting for it to be transferred off the private plate. Any idea how long this can take ?
If its removed at the local dvla office it's instant, if done by post 2-3weeks I think. I always have them done at the office
Office is not instant now took my docs to Bristol and they wouldn't do it there and then had to wait about a week !! Putting mine on retention off the BMW another £105, starting to get pissed off with it now such a ball ache when you come to sell and the insurance company charged me £70 to change it over last time thieving scum bags !
Took my documents to the local DVLA office, and got it transferred there and then. 20 mins later, the private plate was fitted to my bike.
Must depend on the local office as mine was that quick too (about 3months back) just as quick to put one on aswell
i have always done instant transfer at local office too! took the plate with me changed it outside the office and rode back with it on.
The last time I did it on my car it only took about 4 days from me sending it off to receiving the new docs back. I'd like a private plate on the Blade, but as mentioned above its not cheap with the cost of transfer, admin charge and the messing about form filling etc. Dealers hate them because of the extra admin they involve!
Dam sheffield is slower... 45 minutes wait but done there and then... did the car by post to local office... 2 days
finally it came through. bike arrived today woohoo.....................................................................all i want now is for the snow to piss off !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
God, you want for everything don't you.... Only kidding Hopefully will be warmer soon so we can all get out there and blow out the cobwebs In the meantime count how many times you check the weather forecast and/or look out the window. I must do 30+/day of both :s
