I'm trying to send a map to my power commander, there's always one on it but i want to put a different one on. Im at my wits end with the pissing thing!! Everytime I click send map it says "Send Map Aborted- Invalid Map Type" but how can this be the case when Ive downloaded them direct from dynojet. I need this map on the bike to run it tomorrow.

    Any ideas please?

Just using I.T logic that's all.

Why didn't you ring dynojet before they shut and ask em?

Solved it, no idea why but the software must have failed to start properly, I did 2 restarts of the PCV program and got the same error, then tried a third time and it received the old and sent the new map successfully lol god knows... cheers anyway chaps!!

Is your Bike an ABS Mr Tyke?

Only ask as there is fek all room under the riders seat for anything else as the ABS gubbins are mounted there.

Can a PCV be mounted under the Pillion seat?

Does the lead reach to where it needs to?

When I installed the PCV I ran it from under the pillion seat yes and from the PCV unit to the actual injector connectors there is probably a good 150mm of slack if needed I found that there was plenty of slack and it wasn't a tight fit at all. The only thing that took time was feeding the connectors through from the pillion seat housing plastic as there is only a little square cut out that the tail light harness is fed through. The only thing that you may find tight depending on how anal you are with zip tying the PCV wiring to the stock harness is the ground wire that goes to the -ve of the battery. Another thing that was difficult for me was getting access to the injectors because my fuel pump line was so tight I couldn't get it off so coulnd't remove the tank if its the same for you I'd suggest getting another half or equivalent to hold the tank up while you connect the PCV in line. It may also help to remove the jacket that surrounds and protects the ABS gubbins on the tank to get easier access.

    CHEERS!!

Quick question. Did you connect the pc to the laptop
Before or after starting the bike?

I connected to Pc and downloaded yoshi map to PCV before install as advised by a dynojet tech (due to there being no m4 w/baffle map) but it ran like sh1t so i then downloaded stock map after fitting to last me until my custom map sesh in two weeks time.

My bike is an 09 C-ABS and the PCV was mounted in the tail section. It's velcro'd underneath the bracket that spans the sub-frame spars. It was awkward feeding the loom through from here into the battery compartment as there wasn't much space and as Yorkshire says the negative connection to the battery was tight. But it goes in anyway and once in looks a neat solution.

If I had seen this sooner I'd have said restart the program as it did the same to me until I shut it and restarted it. Connect it to your laptop while the bike is off load the map disconnect then start the bike unless you want to see what the bike is doing when idling etc but that is more for advanced mapping.
