Agree with the two points made above - it's a nice subtle re-styling but there doesn't seem to be much to entice current Blade owners to upgrade, particularly as said when you consider the cost to trade up given current book price (my RR8 has done 21K miles so I'm not holding out much hope on trade-in price). On the plus-side, there will be some amazing deals on the current stock, so Blade owners looking to update may be happier with the current model for a much more attractive bottom price.

Where Honda might have pulled it off is with the spec and price-point for new customers. The competition have gone for top-end power and/or electronics to entice customers but this is pushing the cost ever skyward. With the all-round package the Blade gives you coupled with a £2-3K difference in price, potential customers may not care if it has TC or a few extra bhp at the top. I know I don't.

It just ain't different enough for me to rush out and spend me hard earned. Do like the wheels but a bet they will be a buggar to clean.

The new HRC scheme seems to be missing something - but can't put my finger on it?

Does this mean they are leaving the Repsol colours for the 2012 200bhp V4 superblade they are planning? and ....... back in the room! :)

Maybe it was the real deal after all, very strange way for Honda to release first images/videos though... I wonder why they did that?

Maybe they'll do a home kit and an away kit just to make you update twice, like football clubs or Apple.

I won't change until a brand new model comes out in 3 or 4 years. Plus, give me low end and midrange performance rather than up top any day.

Agree with the above, it's nice but i had difficulty seeing any real differences from the current model, i am in the market for a Repsol 2010 reg bike, but am in no rush and will wait a year or so until the prices come down a bit more..... Given what i have just seen on the news about the 3,000 jobs going at BAE and Greece just about to default, i can see this '' depression '' getting a lot worse, and nice shiny toys like the blade may well be one of the first of the casualties, after all when the mortgage can not be paid..... a rarely used bike in the garage is a luxury too far. I will bide my time.

Maybe theres a silver lining here gents, the lack of difference between the two models may mean our prices hold much better as buyers who were holding out might now just think sod it, I'll just buy the 2008-2011 blade.

Liking the gear position and shift indicators on the dash. Must admit I think I prefer the analogue revs on the current model though.
