Despite harping on for the last 8 weeks or so about how good Ventura Luggage is (and it is), it was based on research and recommendation by others that have it.

Up to this moment in time I personally don't have any luggage at all and was absolutely convinced I'd be ordering a Ventura setup!

...................until that is, I happened to be called out to a customers house today through work who has a BMW S1000R and uses a 50 litre Kreiga Tailpack

We got talking and were soon in his Garage looking at the Beemer and he wapped the Kreiga gear on for me.

Suffice to say I have now ordered a US50 (US 30 + 2 x US10's) for just over £200 and will be with me on Tuesday.

Givi XS307 will be here tomorrow hopefully so I'll soon be 'Tooled up' for Touring in May! :D

Can't believe you paid that kind of money for it when you could have bought it on Ebay, second hand for almost half the price and probably used once!

US30's are hardest to get hold of and you probably should've been looking for these in the depths of winter. I got mine near Christmas and got some great bargains and they were all in mint condition.

So that's a No then?

    There is not one on ebay, never mind a US30 & 2 x US10's as a package.
Peeps who buy good gear don't tend to sell it, especially since it aint Bike specific.

..............oh, and I don't do 'used' if I can help it. :D

Nothing much on Ebay at the moment you're right , looks like you've missed the boat. I'll tell you something though, bet you couldn't tell the difference between your new stuff and my "used" Kriega!

You maybe right, but that just proves what a good investment it is new, and I get a 10 year guarantee, something which I wouldn't if buying used of Fleabay.

What I cannot get is how you then attach a tent, roll mat and sleeping bag to your US50 set up and it still be stable to 180mph when doing a 50 - 180 roll on 6th gear test in Germany

Please show me the pic, but I've not seen one yet.

The term is Krieganaut. I should know. I came up with it.

You are now a KRIEGANAUT, Sine. Outstanding!

I've got the r35, 2 of us10, a us20, a us30 and the Tank adapter. With that lot I have the Kama Sutra of touring.

    Gleaming kit.

TBH Allblade I aint bothered about Tents & shyte!

I'm too long in the tooth and aching of body to be messing about with all that Boy Scout shyte.

I want a decent Hotel/B&B room with a raging shower, hot meal and a decent bed after a days riding, not scrattin' about on me fecked knees twattin' in Tent pegs and lighting a single burner Camping stove!

The only thing I would say about the us30, shipmate, is that it is quite long. I like the long seat on the Fireblade and I find the us30 mounted lengthways impinges on my rump. If I have it abaft of me I mount it athwartships. My ideal set up if I'm carrying a fair bit of clobber is us30 on the tank ('the pillow') and the us40 Combo on the passenger seat.

If I wanted all the stuff behind me I'd go for 3 of us20 with the us30 hook set up.

The us30 hook things attach a treat to the subframe by the way. I'll put a picture up.

How VERY dare you, Ken! Rocking a stylish pair of Karrimors dirt cheap from Lillywhites (ok it's Sports Direct).

And the bike is going through an urban gritty phase. It's ART!
