Chain tension play...

    How much tension do you guys put on your chain.. i know its all about feel, i like it pretty tight ;) does everyone stick to the 30mm?

    No expert Tyke but one would imagine "Tight = Problems " Stick to the 25\ 30mm all I do is get a steel ruler put it upto the under side of the swingarm and measure by pulling both up and down the chain.

    usually about an inch. too tight and i jump forward 3 yrd when snicking 1st

    Yeah I have done giv just got told by a lad who I ride out with that you can go tighter than manufacturer specs without any issues and rides better... but he's rather simple so I've stuck with Mr Honda's idea

    like giv says, too tight causes probs. output shaft bearing for starters

    eyeball a mid point between front and rear sprocket, rotate rear wheel till i find the stiffer spot then allow it 25-30mm play.

    Correct. Make sure your adjustment is at the tightest part of the chain...
