Yeah - EU finances hit such a state that the only working transport is donkey & cart - I found this blade parked next to a weird looking DeLorean, and here I am ... think I'll stay a while,

Dyno runs in isolation don't mean a lot in max figures.

A Bike that'll run 170bhp at the wheel on one may well show 155bhp on another the same day.

Before and after figures using the same Dyno following work like a PCV etc are more telling.

A Dyno can be 'made' to show (within reason) whatever the operator likes should they so choose.

Some Dyno's are 'harder' than others on max output figures.

I've been through all this with the car and on one Mercedes Day when a group of the MBClub Forum members came down to one Dyno & Re-map sesh one extensively tuned E55AMG which had ran nearly 700bhp on another Dyno made 'only' 618bhp on this one.

The true tale is timed performance over the 1/4 mile, 0-60, 0-100 and top end tests on a Track Day.

Maybe im reading it wrong(hard to see on my phone)
But should the torque and bhp lines not be crossing paths
    At 5252 rpm ?
The power outputs there are only about 5bhp under
What I got on my RR5 so I would say they were about
Right for the average a that spec.

I agree with you Phantom - they should cross at 5252rpm. I'm not sure what it means if they don't?!

The lines cross at approximately 7250, 8000 & 9250 rpm

Anyway this is a Time Machine Blade as the Power run was carried out in 2016!

Phantom, you make a good point about the lines crossing at 5252rpm.

Looking at the curves, I think the 'values' for torque and bhp are the same at 5252rpm, it's just that the lines don't cross becasue the 'ft-lb' scale is different to the 'bhp' scale.

So, looking at the torque value of the red torque trace at 5252rpm, it's about 85-ish lbs-ft. Looking at the power value for the red power trace it's about 85-ish bhp.

I think if both the torque and power scales on their respective y-axes were the same range, then the liens would cross at 5252rpm? On that basis, it looks like the data is 'good'.

well spotted I didnt even notice the torque and bhp range was different.
if both read to 200 then they would cross at the proper point.
not used to seeing charts layed out like that

    Looking good.

Did you get the Dyno test free as part of the Saltire birthday bash?

There was a few dissapointed people going about, moaning the result are wrong, one dude claimed 189bhp at the back wheel and his reading was 162bhp. I was thinking mine would be about 140 at the back wheel but didnt do the dyno.

Like I say, some Dyno's 'flatter' their customers Bikes/Cars as no-one wants an unhappy customer.

Me personally would just like to be told straight and that's that.

I must admit, I had a 2001 gixer thou tested as standard and it made 150 at the wheel, if my 2010 blade is only making that I would be disappointed. Soooo has anyone had a 2008- 2010 blade tested?

    yup:

    dyno.jpg

    dyno 2.jpg

    dyno 3.jpg

    dyno 4.jpg

    dyno 5.jpg

    dyno 6.jpg

It was a cold day in Feb though, 2 degrees, so lots of cold air in…this can make the results higher than in the summer when it's warmer so I've been told.
