Just taxed the blade. Can't believe they charge so much for a bike to get taxed. I mean really what does a bike do to the road that justifies that amount for tax. Jeez that pissed me right off. Rant over I'm off to take the bike out for its first run this year.
Make sure you you cut all the corners and use both sides of the roads... You need to get your monies worth!!
Oh I'll be getting my monies worth out of it this year mate. Any chance I get to go out on the bikes I'm there.
I with you on that one Colin, last year I managed a crappy 600 miles on my ZZR1400... and that was including a trackday at Silverstone!! I did over 4,500 miles on my push bike!! Where's the sense in that!! This year however I have got the bug early.... sold the ZZR and bought the blade and can't wait to get a few decent rides in this year, at every opportunity
What annoys me is that a good number of cars with Co2 below 100g/100km or whatever the measure is pay ZERO road tax, yet a bike which takes up LESS space and 'most' of the time less emissions still pays tax. Just get your monies worth Colin - at least you have the roads on your door step to do just that.
At least you lot dont have to put up with piss poor roads. Believe me, no matter how bad you think they are, these are worse. Just visit Huddersfield if ya think i'm wrong.
I will be getting my monies worth and using as much of the road as possible, and sticking my leg out like the Moto GP boys so I take up more space on the road, hell, I might stick both legs out and both arms at the same time.
Huddersfield roads area joke, was working up there Thursday friday last week, know the area really well as i used to work security there..... road have always been crap
Roads are shite around here aswell, pothole central. My car tax is nearly £300 aswell, hate paying that for an old golf.
one way systems and so many traffic lights....... and speed cameras arrrrrrrrr, used to love the drive up but feels like a drag now. from black bull to town feels like a speed camera every 400 meter
