The bikes done about 300 miles now, but the brakes don't seem as good as my R1's. I thought they would be pretty much good from new, as the disk / pads surfaces are flat ?? Maybe they need a bit to bed in?
I hear good reviews on the brakes, maybe my 2 fingers have got weaker over the winter..!!

If you're too hard on them from the word go you can polish them
That reduces there braking force.what pads are they?

IIRC, the R1 comes with Brembo master cylinder as standard, so gives a better feel at the lever than the Blade.

Just standard pads, haven't been hard on them as yet, still running in. The rear also feels pretty weak. Maybe a case of getting use to them?

Just personal preference, but I always bed in new pads this way, run it up to 70, moderate braking to around 20, allow pads to cool, repeat half a dozen times, gets all the resin gases out of the pad compound, let them cool between applications stops them burning onto the pad face and thats what causes the glazing, never had an issue with glazing after learning that one.
