Anyone fitted aftermarket lines to an ABS model yet?

The complicated bleeding procedure must put peeps off I'd thought as even some Honda Dealers are struggling to carry this out correctly so it's gota be worse for an third party mechanic?

Spoke to hel uk today who say its unlikely that they have made them incorrectly and I must have fitted them wrong!! Yet I have fitted then exactly the same to you guys on here and the way the originals are this is really starting to bug me

Oh, I expected them to be a little more helpful! Well the lines are right or wrong it's that simple so you would expect them to know! *** My advice is to return the lines for a refund as you can not access the caliper mounting bolts, that or supply lines that are the correct routing! You have images of them so they should be able to see them if they need..
Now this is why the subject winds me up too mate as brake lines are a simple thing!

HOW can brake lines obstruct the caliper mounting bolts!!!....?

*** me and Hel UK have been over and over this they face OUTWARDS and tilt BACK... they should NOT face inwards and obstruct the caliper mounting bolts..

iv changed 2 abs models you only get the flexy bits the metal ones stay on the bike , cuz the valves are closed on the abs units you can changed the hoses then bleed as normal on the calipers

Oh right are you a bike mechanic then? I could do with someone trustworthy to take mine to for service I'd do it myself but I want to keep the history.

It has to be wrong lines as I have followed all advice and I'm an engineer so not stupid lol

Hard to say from that pic, lee711s in the link thread on page 1 are correct, if you photo them from the rear they should turn out on each side and tip back there for giving easy access to the upper caliper mounting bolts, if they are incorrect it makes it very hard to remove the bolt or even get a socket on them to undo them.

Ordered another set of lines today direct from Hel UK, had the same old chat about lines that face the wrong way! Just for the sake of others this is the last time I will drone on about this subject but lines from Hel UK point OUTWARDS and BACK, UK lines DO NOT obstruct the caliper mounting bolts, all other lines that are made up by dealers that obstruct the caliper bolts are INCORRECT.. They may tell you otherwise...

    Hope that helps... :)

    Arthur,

Have you 'Hel'd' up an ABS bike yet, and if so do you need to carry out the FULL Honda speced ABS bleed procedure?

Its as said here mate, just replace the lines and bleed as normal.. Ive not done an ABS blade but have done many VFR's no problem.. A few other members on here have done ABS blade with no problems :)
