I got my mates k1 600 in my garage at the moment as he's coming up with me on the Scotland trip on it. Youre right about it feeling shit slow though, i cant believe that my former bike (a ZX6R) was ever that slow. You really have to work the engine & gears, unless ive become a lazy 1litre rider.
Had a K2 from new , great handling bike but dont think I could live with the revvy 600 engine now . Had my K2 set up on dyno at PDQ an was 106 bhp at rear wheel with akrapovic race can an K&Ns .
Only good thing about them is the colour scheme thats it! Oh An the deal I got on it! £2500 a year old still had rubber bits on tyres 500m on clock
I jumped from a k1 600 to a 2011 blade.Yes the difference is there in the torque and power and alot easier to ride fast than the K1.My one was bloody quick for a 600, I don't think anything below a 1litre bike overtook it.When I bought it Tristram (soonbedead) rode it home for me, even he commented on the top speed of it being 8mph slower than his blade.I'd have it back tomorrow as a winter hack if I could afford 2 bikes.Luv'd it.Oh and yes the brakes were shit.
