Hi chaps, I'm happy the way the forum is at the moment, everyone seems pretty cool and things are ticking along. Is there a need for a Mod yet? I've been trying to get on here as much as I can to keep things tidy etc but at the moment things seem OK. But I am not on here as much as I'd like. I don't want this forum policed and I've noticed there are some thoughts around an 18+ section. Not too fussed on that at the moment as I hope we are all mature enough to use common sense when posting. As long as nothing too offensive is posted were all OK right? You can pick up a tabloid and see tits on page 3 and most of the bike mags have semi porn in some pages. This is a bike site not the BBC :heh: so maybe head up posts not safe for work with NSFW in the thread title. :Banane16: Anyway, if there is a need for a Mod keep me posted and I'll see if anyone is interested. I just don't want/need anyone over zealous - I like the freeness on here! Mod would just need to keep the place tidy - spelling, thread titles etc etc! Anyway, interested in your thoughts.... Peace! I totally agree with you Rob, the forum is going great and we all seem to pull together to overcome dodgy posts and threads getting out of hand . All we need is you to be on here more often lol
Yes I don't care who. I'm happy to give it a go. But also happy to have a vote on it I mod on the SWTOC and real Road riders. And understand that forum is for the members. So overmodding is not good. I only suggested a mod to you in the past as you have been busy and when we get spammers we can delete this to add Dan gets my vote
If your going down that route i think more than 1 is needed but i really think we are doing a good job as it is
2 would cover the bases when the other is away. I think the only need to to remove spam at the moment. As posted else ware we are all adults and seem to get on very well. which is great
Yeah just stuff like that dodgy phone sale add lol. We havnt had much at the moment but this site is growing fast and its bound to come soon
I dont think any mods are needed guys (and girls), site seems like there's some nice people on it. My vote is leave it be and everyone use there common sense!
Thing is Rob is not around half as much as many members on here are. Thus when we have spammers we cannot remove the posts and ban the spammers. I think having one or 2 will not change the forum just help keep it free from spammers
Rob, whiles your on, can you organise a decent spell check to enable me to use BIG words. I'm also on a small forum, Lincs Ride Out, with a nice red line that come under a misspelt word?
I've got google chrome and it does a good job for me on here as said above. I can't believe how calm and pleasant this forum runs without having a single moderator, but as has been said spammers can be a real pain in the ass especially when they jump in with both feet and go mad putting there crap all over every thread which i've seen in the past. So maybe a couple quietly sitting in the back ground would be a good idea! A time will come when they are needed as sooner or later someone will join who enjoys a good scrap every now and then!
if there was mods I hope it would be like this. no over modding just helping the place run smooth. thats what my idea forum would be I left one big forum due to over modding and the lack of input its members could give.

Must be quite a task for Rob on his own. Have to agree this is a very well self moderated forum but its still young and I dont see any harm in Rob having a helping hand. The spamming will get more and more and as more members join it wouldnt hurt to have someone more regular on here just overseeing that the self moderating is coping. Thats all
I think at the mo all is good, but this site is growing pretty bleeding fast now and in the not too distant future there may be a need for one or two mods. Really pleased to see the site has taken off though and Dan would get my vote (as he is on here soo much lol):agree:
Wellll if hats are being thrown in the ring ... I would be happy to see Dan and Remal helping out Rob in his duties
