My well behaved well mannered fireblade has gone and got an ASBO or to be exact a section 59 !. Cheshire plod are indeed clamping down on loud cans, illegal number plates, etc, etc So be warned boys. Fortunately all I had to do was fit the baffle and a standard plate take a visit to the MOT station,£10 later documents signed trip to the plod station with all paperwork ( nobody checked the bike tho ? ) All in all a waste of a day just because I didn't want to park the car in Chester !
just do what all the scrotes that have asbos against them for harassing old grannies ,and ignore it ... oh sorry we cant ignore it as we actually have got off our arses and done some work so that we can own a bike... the scrotes have no money or possessions other than what they steal off us lot so they have nothing to lose.
I'm putting baffles back in R1 - without them it is proper anti social - even with its loud! I leave standard plate on as its just less hassle
Bet the dudes on Harley's don't get the same hassle? Followed some bloke down the road the other day and couldn't believe how his mirrors were legal, the edge on them looked like they could cut through bone! My Racefit doesn't come with a baffle and they don't make one for it so need to try and get something sorted.
Definitely don't want to visit on my bike now lol A cop looked at my non baffle leo vince gp pro And simply said "sounds well mate" I pray they don't get pressured to adopt the same Attitude towards bike's
Arthur had a few idea's for my jardine that I never even thought off mate, like butchering (sorry that would be me) dissecting the stock exhaust and putting the flapper in the link pipe so quiet on idle. Also lots of other ideas. Maybe worth a visit Dave
Kent Police hand them out like a perv with a box of sweeties outside a school. Got one last year in my car, for the heinous crime of putting 2 wheels on the painted white surface of a mini roundabout, unmarked plod followed me for 3 miles through multiple speed limit changes, where I hit everyone spot on, and the best excuse he could come up with was the 2 wheels, and that I approached another car from behind in a national speed limit to 'energetically' and it had the potential to cause them distress or harrassment, he ignored the fact that entering the 30, they triggered the interactive and that I was about 200 yds behind (the closest I got) and I did not. Don't think he gelled with the suggestion his Doris might be playing away whilst he was working..but WTF he had ticketed me by then.
i have respect for the law as i think there arms are tied with things what they can and can't do. It does make there job hard and not something i could deal with. but lads and ladies FFS "DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE" how a loud exhaust can be so important compared to muggings, robberies, murders and all the other stuff that happens!!! i think we really need to address a scale of importance in this county, what crimes matter and where a" not not top of my to do list". oh look back to the fact crime committed and solved and prosecuted all in one go .................. again.... wow my crime figures look good... these can really be used to manipulate crime figures.
always will be this way as traffic is an easy ticket day over the heaps of paperwork for crimes like robbery and assault.
