Bought an oil filter from halfrauds today for the oil change, there was a 302 and 308 I got the 308 which fits on the bike fine but is a bit smaller than the one I took off, will this cause any problems??
as long as it's not massivley smaller then it will fine, the hole is the same size so wont restrict the flow.dont fret it wont slow down your oil flow around the engine, speed it up more than anything as theres less filter to go through before it circulates back into the engine.
The filtter holes are gonna be smaller so oil wont flow as faster being a smaller fitter. They might be a lot more pressure. Ie seals leaking. Smaller wont be better in ideal world
The 308 is a direct replacement filter made by Champion I have had 3 now including the one that's currently fitted the bike loves them.
i dont think so,the filter will be slightly shorter, not narrower or else it wouldn't make a seal. as others have said (apart hump obviously) it'll be fine.
