Well as most of the regulars on here no I defected to a Ducati 1098s last year, but due to a few changes and my distinct dislike of living away from home I have decided after talking to a few dealers and a couple of test rides to buy a CB1000R new from Bransons in Yeovil. I did think about another blade but for the daily fight through Bristol and my ongoing back issues the CB1 seemed like the sensible all weather option They have done me a great deal so in week or so I should pick up a new Matt grey and gold bike with titanium Akrapovic, de cat pipe, PCV, single seat, tail tidy, crash bungs and a rear paddock stand, I also got to keep the HM shifter of the Ducati so will fit that once I get a new shift rod and harness I know its not a blade but it seems like the best option for me
Mega under rated bike - they seriously hussle when ridden well and so easy to ride - mates swapped bikes in France and their test ride footage is epic - it could be down geared to make it snappier - it will do 140 but is uncomfortable above 120, so why not just get there quicker....
Think a sprocket change may be on the cards once its run in I had tried the Tuono but heavy on juice, speed triple at Jimbos request which was great but the CB1R was so smooth and compliment I just thought it would be a great everyday bike
Speed Triples are great bikes.. I had one last year. Handled everything thrown at it, probably too well to be honest and never gave me much of a buzz. Would have made a great commuter bike though, as I'm sure the CB1 will!
Nice bike can't wait to see pics of yours with acro on, I've just got a speed triple for those warm sunny cruising days ! I won't get rid of the blade, it's to smooth, luv it.
Explorer I have to wait until the first service before fitting the toys but I can't wait should look better without the standard can !
I don't know... I've had a look at the numbers and I'm not certain there's any places spare in Honda... I don't know whether we can take you back... You're a great lad and everything, but....
Good to see you back pal.........far better on ere with the right tool ! ......and was it the wheel colour that really did it in for you ??
Glad you allowed him back Ken But my question is this .Is everyone on here. Going old this month? If this caper Carrys on I will be reaching for my pipe and slippers
Ooh nice... they're top of my list for next bike, despite my best mate trying to convince me they are boring, and I should get a Speed Triple instead. Do you fancy letting me have a little spin on it anytime soon?
Whenever you like matey Boring ... Well maybe it is a little, it does everything very well so not as involving and its easy to ride, but it still goes like stink, loves lifting its front wheel, the triumph was great but preferred the looks of the CB1 If they hadn't given me such a good deal it may have been a different story both excellent bikes
