After finding myself looking for 7th gear a few times I'm looking to get a gear indicator any suggestions on best ones Gipro??
Any how easy are they to fit, just plug and play?

The acumen one can be bought with a plug n' play harness, had one on my 600RR and would highly recommend. Good deals to be had on fleabay. Can get it in a number of different colours too (although red is the best ;)).

Takes about an hour to fit & calibrate (did this on paddock stands myself, although not sure what H&S might have to say about that little move!)

I did make a prototype gear indicator once that wasn't appreciated as much as I expected it to be. Even the gollumesque on Dragons Den wouldn't let me up the stairs. It's chronicled here if you want to have a go at one.

Did look at the Accumen route as i had one from a previous bike...................they never seem to have the harness or interface plug..... none of which are needed when you buy the Gipro............ far better unit IMO and more compact for discreet mounting adjectent to dash.....

Where is the 'Diagnostic System' connector/port located Rich? Is it easy to get at?

Its a red plug down side of the battery. I found getting the blank of the plug a pain in the ass.

I have the Gipro which I think is brilliant and hardest bit was digging the OBD port out from behind the fusebox install time 30-45mins ;)
