No need to worry guys, we won't be heading over this road on the tour. (not to say a few of you weren't thinking of heading home this way after Sundays stay at Moffat)
Surely more like 4 weeks - you have put some metal sheeting in place to stop further errosion, back fill that -to build road up and stabilise it etc. then put the road down - I bet that does not open before June
Is it lawful for the fuzz to take a camcorder for not driving dangerously? I will also be using new SD cards each day, so you're safe the following day.
They just have to have suspicion that you "may" have committed an offence....so basically if they see a camera they can take it. Shit isn't it.
Like i say Al a four day job with the right planning and machines its easy .Remember in the victorian times they where knocking out full size steam train 1 per week and thats over one hundred years ago .If there are any Army boys on here please tell me i am wrong.
Seems excessive. So basically if you get stopped with a camera then you can't film the rest of the trip. Fuck that! They can take the SD card and i'll put another one to carry on filming.
Please don,t get yourself wound up over this as it may never happen. I,m not saying that they will take cameras, just forewarned is forearmed if you know what i mean. I,ve used cameras in the past without any trouble, but seeing as we are a big group of sportsbike riders i reckon if we do get stopped its something to bare in mind. I,d suggest people just wip the cards out pronto before they start snooping.
Anyone getting excited yet, or is it just me? My arse is making buttons at the thought of all you lot coming up here over the border
Been a lot of planning for you Colin but i,m sure it will be worth it. Have you given any thought on how we are going to manage such a big group, especially through built up areas etc. Maybe we could come up with a few ground rules on here so people have time to digest them.
Alblade has done a route guide that he is going to pass on to everyone at the start of the tour. It will explain a lot in terms of group riding mate. To be honest Al has done a hell of a lot of the planning for this and deserves more credit than me on this tour.
Here's a suggestion it might be a good idea to exchange mobile numbers when we all meet up just in case of emergencies, getting lost or finding that amazing road the rest of us just have to see Also maybe being mindful of the terrain we're all be passing through desolate, wild, remote and above all unforgiving! There is nothing more that can put an end to an amazing ride out than, a serious off!!!.. I ain't sayin we ride like Drivin' Miss Daisy but just not to take unnecessary risks for the sake of the group. Oh and watch out for low flying Bambi's Now for a serious matter!!! The Police up there ain't interested in our photographic equipment No! No!! 20+ leather clad bikers over they're woolly blonde GF's scattered around various fields!!! I'm more worried about my virginity
Again Alblade has the mobile thing covered mate. I believe he is getting everyone's contact details, and putting that into the tour guide. Top guy
Trev, all covered, messages already sent asking for mobile details. Each days route with map, destination hotel details, lunch stops. A guide to group riding and the drop off system and pretty much a disclaimer that you a attending a tour on public roads at your own risk.
appropriate time i think? The Young lady at the Craiglynn hotel has sent me a menu, if anyone would wish to order their meal in advance to beat the rush? whilst on the phone, she also said to ignore the menu price of £19.99, we can have a discounted price and eat for £15.00 per person. next 4 posts are whats available, ill leave it to the individual to ring the hotel direct, should anyone wish to take advantage of this? :edit: move this to the first page f you wish Colin.
