Yes. That is why I will get rid of Mrs Ken before I get rid of it (please don't tell her I said that).

I keep telling her that I will strip and completely refurb it when I retire (fat chance) to keep her from nagging me.

But I get sentimental about my cars too. I gave my Celica to my dad and watch him kill it with neglect and I sold my 205 to my brother in law and his Rottweiller ate it.

Never sell on if there's a chance you'll see it again.

I will always remember my first ped fs1e, when I was able to ride it on the road in 79, I wanted it soooo bad it hurt. A yellow one with black stripes, it felt so good having my independence I'll never forget that bike, kjr394p. I'm filling up now!

Get another one, mate. Even if it's a dog, then do it up. How expensive can it be? It's therapy. It's a feely blanket.

I've thought about it ken, but it's them Rose tinted glasses isn't it, memory and the here and now are totally different, plus they are very collectable now hence expensive and parts are in short supply. Still I've got my memory's . What's left of it!

Its the time and place that focus the positive memories of a bike, my best time on a bike was at the age of 16, Suzuki TS50ER Brand new "W" reg. 35 miles per hour max but I had some very good times on that bike. Not a care in the world and the speed and freedom was fantastic.

Wished I had the bike sat in the garage, anyone still got one?

Never once got done for speeding either.

Nope. Fell out of love with my GSXR-600 K6, which is why I had to trade it in for the blade....and I don't miss any of the others either.

The only hint of rose tinted glasses is for a Nova GSI I owned in 1997....now that was probably the most fun car I've ever owned....oooo, new thread - what cars have you owned?

Difficult not to miss this -

However really miss the power delivery of my 1098R -

Shame about the reliability and running cost, also lost more money in depreciation over 2.5 years than a blade cost new!!

Nope, cos it's still sitting in my garage!! Hardly use it and feel guilty everytime I open the door as it needs bit of work which I haven't got round to doing.

    See album for nc30

But I will fully restore her to her former glory one day.... Don't know why, just can't bring myself to sell it!?

Nearly had a moment when trading in the r6, god I loved that machine, but soon started to love the blade!! (not quite as much yet) but give it time and some more bonding!! Ha ha

but I miss my first 600 had a private plate on it and in a rush to swap it in for the 675 before the TT left it on the bike really regret that

and I most definately miss this girl one of the fastest road bikes Ive ever had the pleasure of owning (still got my race 675 total missile) till the main dealer destroyed the engine on the first service then calamity after calamity swapped it in for the blade in the end but damm I do love a good 675 puts the hairs up on the back of your neck

One of the best and worst bikes I ever had was a TZR250 3MA.
Always regret selling that one so I went out and bought another one restored it o it's former glory and now it sits on show in my work Place. I did do 126hmk on it and it is running sweet.
