Sorry I missed you guys too. My day didn't turn out to plan. I had arranged to go with 2 mates to the Bob Minion Honda day in Derby. They were going to stop by my place at 10.30 and then we'd go together. So, I was ready on time, in my leathers, bike fuelled and oiled etc and then they turned up. By car! They thought they were giving me a lift there.... Anyway, I went and just as I was about to leave to meet the midlanders at Ashby, a new police fully marked up fireblade appeared and I started chatting to the copper who talked to me into registering details for a 2 days bikesafe course. So now I was late for Ashby. Too late, so headed for Grantham and couldn't find the Honda garage. I tried my smart phone sat nav a few times but I always seemed to be about 2.1 miles away, no matter what I tried, or where I went. The phone might be smart, but I'm not! So in the end I went home alone... Still, it was a great sunny day and it was brilliant to get out on the bike again. Incidentally I saw a CBR600FS2 pulled up about 400 metres from Minions Honda by a black unmarked BMW X5 SUV with blue flashing LEDs hidden in the standard lights - you would never have guessed it was a police car. So beware Derbyshire's finest have obviously got a big budget as they are buying Footballer Wife type SUVs and blades! Glad my Council Tax is being put to some use -shame it's not gone on fixing pot holes though! Memo to self - my areas requiring self improvement: - learn how to use the phone (or buy a map) - don't rely on following others (or get to the meeting place on time) - watch out for flashy cars in Derbyshire - they might be police

Well there were alot of Honda's at the Honda dealer I got there just after 2pm and stayed for half hour maybe. Its a good ride from Leicester. I like riding in Lincolnshire.
I was there at about 11.50 James, I had a toilet stop in Maccys and waited till 10 past.. Sounds like I just missed you if you were there for twenty past. Anyway, I headed up to the Bob Minion open day as a couple of mates text me to say they were up there. I didn't know the way to Grantham on my tod. Ha!
Yeah got it done. Had some fun on the way back Worth the money. You should get yours done on the next ride out. There must be someone local who does suspension setups.

I've had mine done too mate.. Had it done with KTech, they're only down the road from me. Agree it's well worth the money!
Didn't get there until 2pm I'm sure I saw you guys heading back to melton. Couldn't get to Melton for 12 had to do family stuff.
Even though it looks like things didn't go to plan it seems that you all had a half decent day. As it turned out I couldn't do anything on Saturday as Mrs Stu was really ill so I had to look after her. Next time.......
B676 from Melton to colsterworth is a much better road than the 607 for anyone going next weekend. Just ordered a new blade but it doesn't arrive until the 25th :-(
I'm In Grantham, let me know when you pick up your new bike and I'll pop up and say hi, I bought my new blade from there last year, decent dealership by all accounts.
Will have to get some local rides going, everyone I used to ride with has stopped. They market harborough / Melton back roads were my favourite. This will be the second blade I've had from there now, had a 2009 repsol from them a few years ago. Great bunch of people in there, I look young and with messy hair, most shops do not even I've me a hello... First time I went in I was thrown they keys to the blade I eventually bought without question. They twisted my arm on a 2013 blade now too after a year and a bit off bikes. Top dealership.
