My AGV is very noisy in fact it drives me mad. I have tinnitus so ear plugs are not an option because they compound the problem, so I need to make my helmet a little quieter, any suggestions. And speak up
You can get ear muffs that are designed for pedal bike helmets don't know if any good but the look like......... View attachment 10275
I'm alright for a short while then the constant humming gets worse and I have to pull the plugs out. And as you know once its bought to your attention it gets more and more intense?
I also have bad tinnitus, but as it's pretty constant i hardly notice it anymo... Excuse me, i think there's someone at the door!
You poor fellows......my old man had it really severely and it made his life hell at times, it turned him into a right miserable bsatard. And, there was me thinking you three are miserable bsatards just for the sake of it. Still it could be worse, at least you only hear ringing noises, poor old Barney hears voices.
Dont put me in the miserable bracket Freedom iam like the dude on the Titanic still playing the piano as the sucker goes down but with a smile. I have the constant pitched noise in one ear which is boring but you tend to tune this out on day to day activies its only when you think of it that you can detect it but then of course it goes louder
They do make Motorcycle Helmet Wind Blocker, meant to make less wind noise? Motorcycle Helmet Wind Blocker - webBikeWorld NOJ Quiet Rider - webBikeWorld
i had something like the second one years ago when dainese did them for there lids fantastic bit of kit
Carl - I think you need to consider buying a helmet which is inherently quieter. webBike World have reviewed most popular brands with ratings on how quiet they are. I went from an Arai Viper to a Schuberth S1 Pro - you cannot believe how much quieter the Schuberth is compared to the Arai. I know the Schuberths look a bit boring but they are getting better. The new S2 and they SR1 look quite good. My SR1 only weighs less than 1300 grams so another plus on a long ride out.
Did it come with the Shoei?? This Windjammer is supposed to stick to any helmet... Always wanted a Shoei lid, need to save my pennies.
Sell it!!! That's what I did with my K3sv, what a noisy piece of s**t that was. I have a Shoei XR1100 with a whisper strip it's pretty quiet, but not as quiet as my Caberg EGO, great helmet, but that's not as quiet as my X-lite x701, now that's a helmet, I have to check my engine hasn't stalled from time to time. But we all know some helmets suit some people, better than others, I find all my current helmets a similar shape to the AGV's( which I always used to wear), and suit my head shape. A good fit is key.
