My little 'experiment' rocked up today so fitted it in 10 secs flat and it seems very sturdy and comfortable from just sitting on the Bike.

Not rode it yet so will reserve judgement for now but if it alleviates my aching thumb then I'll be a happy camper!

Seriously!? Can't think why on earth you'd want that on a blade tbh...

Although, fair play for the attempt and giving it a go. Can't think it'll just get in the way when you want to ride the bike "properly" though?

I agree to a point, but it costs £7 and just clips on and off in a few secs so it won't stay on there permanently.

I'm off on Tour to Ireland for 6 days in early May and there will be quite a few long stints at a steady 80-90 which is where my Thumb suffers the most.

Got a fair stint down the 55 to Holyhead then a few over in Southern Ireland so this could be a life saver for me.

If not then it's £7 lost, so what?

Fair play - For that money and using on tour / motorway stints then I stand corrected...

If it was for every day use I'd say you should prob look at a more suitable bike for your requirements!!

Have you not been on the motorway for hours and just wished you had that. I have and would get one when i'm trying to get hundreds of miles done in a day on the motorway when touring

No not really mate. I'd sooner do 450 miles on a roads in 12 hours than 300 miles in 8 to get to a destination. Weird maybe but that's me, if I wanted to cruise and mile munch is buy a suitable bike for it.

It's not too specific depending on weather but this is a rough route devised.

Get what your saying mate but not really no, I've toured all over Europe and uk in last 5 years, with the exception of 3hrs out of northern France, or going to Scotland ill only ever use the motorway then (but again 3/4 hrs max), and as said after 3 hours I'm Done. Can't stand it. Not why i ride the bike.

I just plan my trip around that, regularly do 3/3.5k in a week and hardly go on a motorway or toll.

OR just make all your motorway riding on the autobahn... Try and get any form of hand/wrist ache when you're cruising at 150! Neck ache maybe... :)

Motorways suck! Autobahns good for a max out, but 10 mins its boring.

like jimbo says, I'd rather do 8 hours of good roads than 3 hrs of motorways.
