Dudes, just a suggestion. Why would we want to have two seperate meets 30 mins away? Why don't we all meet at the Forton services? Sorry if I'm being dim and missing something?
Is anybody listening to what I've said?!! It's not a meet at Wham Lane just a drive past and collecting more riders, it's on route anyway. But if that's too complicated then I'll come back down for you and see you at Forton.
Lol. You can tell its getting close now. Everyone is getting twitchy Chill guys. It may be better to start a couple of new threads so that we all know where we are meeting on the day, and if anyone asks on this thread where to meet, then we can just post a link to the specific thread instead of trying to trawl through this 1. Ie meeting points for those travelling up from down south, and also meeting points for those joining us north of the border.
To make this bit easier, I think a fresh 'Scotland - Thursday ride up' thread is needed - If Colin's example of editing the first post is used it keeps it all together. People who are unfamiliar with the area need pictures / links of exactly where to be - road names, pubs, local terms not a right load of good - you want a postcode to look up on google maps / put in a sat nav with a note say 'be here now' next to it with the time. Lymm Services are very easy to find, good choice of food so for those travelling from south a good call as if early there is somewhere to get a brew - if they run late those meeting there can also get a brew! The two groups need to swap mobiles so if Southern lot running late / have problems can let others know. Yes I am a small chunking detail person / nerd !
Yeah I know!! Think giv's forgot Dave is coming up with me... And I know you say it isn't a meet / stop, still maintain it'll be easier if we all rock up in one place?? Like I said before, I don't mind coming to the 2nd place for 11/11.30 if it keeps things simple.

And it ended with Game over .it was you that said you where going to pass Lymm .i live near so I was only going to mop up any dudes like Jason and even Andy .and to meet you all at Forton .I am very flexible but as you dudes are on a back breaker to get here tell us what's best .
How are we are going to manage a tour of Scotland as we are struggling with logistics just to meet up. We need a women to organise us
You may start to appreciate / realise how much work Colin has had to do with updating post 1 with all the details, why I've put together a tour guide booklet and written up some pointers - with 20+ bikes many not ridden together its not going to be easy, but remember if you do a bad overtake on somebody on the trip, you have to see them at dinner that night etc. Last think we want is a 'blue on blue' incident - anyhow we have Colin and I think Bruce as heavies to keep control!
I get that mate, but all we ever spoke about was Lymm. Never seen the main meet point at forton?? When was that decided?? We will just go straight there then fella, as after 4 hours on the motorway I'm sure the lads won't want to be on and off the bikes, rather pull up, have a break then let the main event commence!!
I take my helmet of to both Colin and Alan For organising this as I know how hard organising logistics is with the job I do and I only have to plan 6 drivers , can't wait though as this has been on my bucket list for a long long time .

As said mate, I know we are meeting at Lymm but was just questioning the sanity of having a 2nd meet 20 mins further up the road. Didn't know peeps were planning forton as a meet - obviously lost in posts - I have no idea of the stops / areas etc so don't have a clue where is best for the lads to have breakfast and a break after the motorway punt we are doing to join you guys...
The plan is still in one piece Colin so I will start the Thursday thread and others in charge ie The Firebloke you and Al then can add as we enter your area .
