Hi , I've been invited to take pictures at Machynlleth Loop.
Was suppose to be Friday but now tomorrow ,
Not sure what to expect has I've never took pictures of low flying jets ,
So any advice off you photo chaps would be welcome , ( yes I know keep my head down )
So all I need now are the jets to appear and that's not 100% they will ,
So fingers crossed they do, :)

I'm afraid I know nothing about photography - I just provide the subjects....

You can spot the photographers in the Mach loop fairly easily. If you look closely at picture one you can see me waving (I'm the instructor in the back)!

    Was a time, before Ramstein...

Mach 1 passes just infront of the crowd line were our idea of fun. Until then I wasn't aware sound could cause physical pain. I've seen Su 27s move helicopters on the ground as they pass, but nothing quite compares to twin Avons in reheat...

Except maybe a vulcan climbing out in a bad mood.

I'm feeling a bit of pressure now lol, didn't think a great lot of people on here knew about the loop,
I'm afraid my pictures won't be like those ones , there spot on , its my first time remember :D
Lets hope the boys are out and I get some half decent shots , just had a look at map and my location
On hill side is Cad West . Time will tell .

kit wise as good a zoom lens as you can get/borrow
and the quality of single shot release will always be
better than burst shot if taking a high speed shutter.
not really good if you want a few snaps of a jet passing.

Ooh, that first shot has the definite whiff of 'Shadow and Highlights' about it.

    Was that bitchy?
