When South London meets South Dorset...fashion magic is created and miracles happen. Even if I say so myself.

Was supposed to be re-felting the porch roof. Twat who we bought the house from appears to have built it and has obviously skimped as it looks like he built it with internal mdf/chipboard. If the bloke wasn't an old codger I would have gone round to his house by now and torched it!!!! House is turning out to be a firking nightmare :(:(:(

Have you ever seen the film the money pit? I had a nightmare house once that was just like the film.
Every 2 minute job turned into a wallet emptier. The worst three being changing a power socket resulting in a total house rewire, every room needed to be redecorated afterwards. The other resulted in the upstairs ceiling coming down when the water tank decided to dump the entire contents in one go about a month after the rewire redecorating was finished. The third classic was when we had the drive and front garden re modelled, within a few months the drive flooded into the porch. After some investigation, it was found the driveway builders had broken the water pipe to the road and worse still when the houses where originally built the builders skimped on the drainage and had directed water from the houses each side into our pipework. All the drive had to be dug up again, the builders that did the drive way work bubbled the company, opening up again the next day with a new name and the insurance didn’t want to know either, the people both sides said they wouldn’t contribute, even when I warned them that if they didn't I would get their water stopped at my boundary, which I did, meaning they had to have their gardens dug up as well. Funny enough neither side spoke to us again for about 3 years until the day we moved house.
Remember to get the The money pit film its well funny.

Ouch! Have seen the film many years ago, hoping that we aren't the sequel. So far we have had a rewire, old fuse box had a single fuse and 6 wires, wires ran diagonal the works. We had to have the damp proof done and found cement render on a lot of the walls, 3 SDS drills to remove it, and just when we thought it was sorted we found asbestos panels in the last room :( Boiler blew up after 18 months, and the so called friends who were renting the granny annex did a runner having trashed the building, and we have had to have that rewired as well. Currently the only two rooms that are intact are the kids bedrooms, all the rest have channels in the plaster with cables running down them.

Oh well, worse things happen at sea lol

Popped over to the Silverstone track day as I have a couple of mates participating. Best bit though was got my 2012 suspension setup by Phil Crowe. No major changes to the settings but what a massive difference on the road. Feels a little more firm but now holds a line round bends like it's on rails - amazing.

Suffered from not enough sleep, a massive hangover, cut & edged the lawns (not easy as every time I bent down I was dizzy!) Then sat in the sunny tidy garden watching a blackbird bring its young for a feed - ahhhh.
Then a mate turned up on his gixxer so we had a good catch up on all things bike related! Now feeling better so the Merlot is calling ;) Just the one though? :D

Today will go down as a SHIT day.
Went to my local dealer for a new rear S20 and as I pootled away I turned right eased on the gas and the Blade spat me off!
I am not sure if I am annoyed or not.
It had rained although the road seemed dry and I was taking it very easy, but all the same one minute i'm fine and the next the rear is kicking out, I'm on the deck and my lovely machine is down the road on its side.
The one good thing I can say is thank god I put R&G crash protectors and rear bobbins on!
Otherwise it would have been a mess.
Needless to say new protectors and bobbins ordered, as well as a rear tail section.
Now hoping my dealer can fix my pride and joy by Thursday, as off to Lemans early Friday morning.
My main concern now is the weather is due to be crap and I wont have time to scrub the rear tyre by then.
An after thought is why don't the dealers at least have a heat gun or even a tyre warmer to give you a fighting chance?
Or am I just a crap rider?
any advice on how to scrub tyre in quick would be appreciated.
    Thanks
    A sad Blade rider

Just a quick comment on the s20's, Jimbo Vills did Scotland with us and only managed to get 1500 miles out of the rear. Had a similar situation last year too. It was actually illegal by 1200! IMO these tyres are rubbish, they give great grip but really don't last and most of his riding was in the wet!
