Good spot, those tyre are seriously ragged. Rossi would be proud getting that sort of wear on the road!.

Also ask him to remove the GB covers, could be hiding something!

    |Looks like I'm late to the party! deffo non ABS as the calipers are black, ABS calipers always seem to be a bronze colour. Unless you guys know different! Also the rear end doesn't look like a full nappy. Love the colour mate, just be careful as Slick says we know EVERY blemish and detail about our treasures!

Just the way the undertray near the rear shock has a bulge to carry the extra bits, but in the non abs its nice and slim.

Yes the gb engine covers will only take a couple of mins to remove and they could be covering some serious engine cassing damage so its worth checking.

Im not trying to put you off this bike but its best that you know all the potential problem areas

That's definitely a non ABS one. No ABS sensors, standard undertray (ABS is lower), no ABS pipework around rear master cylinder etc.

This was the main reason of joining the forum before buying a bike I want to know what to look for before buying a bike and being stuck with a dog.

..... does not buy race scrub tyres, he nips down to the local tyre shop and puts on what ever the tyre guy recommends to him.

This might not be true in this guys case but thats just what my observation is

I wouldn't let track use put you off necessarily... Odd that he didn't know whether it was abs or not... If your in to trackways and can ride decent enough to blob your tyres like that the you tend to know your bikes.

Go in with your eye open, there is plenty out there... But you pay for what you get

I put it to him about the tyres and he said they are second hand scrubs that the previous owner had put on. It's the guys first blade to and has only ridden 600's before this he's only owned it 6 months. So I'm guessing with the weather we've had in the last 6 months he hasn't had very much saddle time.

Ill look at it and see what it's like I left £50 deposit so happy to lose that if its not the bike for me.

The joys of finding the right bike!

    Cheers folks
