Yesterday I fitted the new double bubble screen that I got. Bike looks a little weird now. Still to fit my new seat cowl, as I need to find a way to attach the magnet for the alarm somehow. And I await my new carbon HRC hugger. Also managed to locate some IOM TT mountain course map decals for the sides.
Fitted the R&G radiator guard, what a palaver. The ACF50 was generously applied. Seemed to be the day for it
Fitted the Beowulf rad guard and replaced the crappy substandard R&G tail tidy that fractured. Then took an hour to find an earth fault on 1 indicator that worked before I unplugged it...WTF!
Fitted my recent purchase from 'Doubletronics' now I have two headlights & a main beam... but more importantly no one's gonna tell me I have a bulb out and risk a chinese burn! Oh messy wiring, but a piece of p!ss to do... Wiring a bit tidier... Yay... Pictures not too good but both lights are virtually the same! Oh, and that's not my concrete rabbit, it's my parents house....
Home - - powered by 123webshop.nl Hi Nicko, Theory is it pumps only 40% power to main beam side on normal and high beam is unchanged at 100%.. I'd love HID's but this is a simple way of getting out of the 'cyclops' effect and retain your high beam.... There's also an adjustment (built in potentiometer) if you want to change brightness. 77 euros from Holland, about £63.00 I think.
Pretty easy really nicko, bought a telferizer from Bob at telferizer.com and fitted it in place of one of the hesd bolts. Removed the tank cover to run the power and mike/headphone/USB leads down the side of the bike Power is currently wired straight to the battery cos I don't have time before the trip to start splicing into switched live with my limited electrical nous, Bit of cable tie action to tidy up the loose wires as I won't use the audio etc most of the time, although I have put the USB connection through to under the pillion seat so I can charge stuff whilst on the go. Tank cover back on and I've got an uncle called bob ! Rode her in to work today, so the cleaning was wasted!
Fitted smoked McGuinness TT high screen and a radiator guard on the 'blade and a new set of front pads on the BMW. Now all I want is some nice warm weather please.
Stomp grips fitted today. I am not that keen on the looks, but if they stop me feeling like I am on a slide under braking and when going down hill - I'll be happy.
Ditto. Not that keen on the look, but they work well. I picked up a cheap used 2012 tank shelter off ebay which is stickerless - use that when I fancy a change and then switch back to the stompgrip one (2010) when I'm commuting or planning a hack.
